Stella's Ice Cream - Boise — Restaurant in Idaho

Very flavorful ice cream; rich and creamy. They have many flavors with names that are unique and no description of what is in the ice-cream. The staff person waiting on us was kind enough to get the book so we could make a decision but it would be better if there was a sign on the wall. I got salted caramel and Tucker got mint chocolate chip. I dropped my stars from 5 to 4 due to the response from the owner.

My response to your response: The point I was making, is that your staff doesn't know all of the information about your many, many, many flavors and I ended up just reading a book which was quite overwhelming, and maybe I would have chosen a different flavor but I didn't feel like reading several pages of information. I think that as the weather gets warmer it'll just increase the length of waiting .. ... and the names of the icecream are simple but absolutely do not indicate to me what is in them. Extremely Disappointed with the Service at This Location We love Stellas Ice Cream it's one of our favorite places for a family treat. But this visit was a big letdown. The woman serving us had a terrible attitude. Her name is Ashley. She looked like she didn’t want to be there and acted completely disengaged. No smile, no kindness, especially toward my kids, which really left a bad taste in our mouths.

We asked for a few samples, like we always do, and she made it feel like a chore. Zero enthusiasm. It’s really sad because we came in expecting a sweet, happy experience, but instead it felt cold and unwelcoming.

Nut allergy people BEWARE! Many vegan flavors are now made with cashew milk! We are so bummed because this was one of the only ice cream shops we could go to with our son who has a tree nut allergy. They recently changed the vegan recipes from coconut milk to cashew milk with NO NOTIFICATION that the recipe had changed. Thank goodness we told the girl at the counter that my son had a nut allergy and she was aware enough to check the Cinnabon bun flavor label to see that it was made with cashew milk. I firmly believe she saved my son’s life tonight. I am very worried that another child won’t be so lucky.
