5/5/2022. Cinco de mayo. My girlfriend and I planned poorly and didn’t end up getting a reservation at any good Mexican restaurants so we decided to stop here for a sub before we saw a movie close by over at AMC. Worst experience getting a sandwich EVER in my life. So bad that I didn’t even have to think twice about remembering the exact date and situation. We came in and ordered Dagwoods with turkey, cheese and some veggies. My sandwich comes out with only banana peppers and cheese on it. At this point I wasn’t frustrated enough to leave so I just kindly walked up and asked the guy behind the counter to fix my sandwich. He agreed to and brings it back to me now with tomatoes added and nothing else. This is the time when I walk up and ask for a refund. The two workers start whispering to each other and still after 10 minutes haven’t issued my refund. I walk up a third time to ask what was up and they tell me they “aren’t sure” how to issue a refund. Very disappointing. Will never EVER come back here. Pretty much avoid Castleton in general whenever possible as it’s gone VERY far downhill in the last 20 years. Get your...
Read moreI’d rate this place zero stars. I came in for my first time ordering some subs for my hubby, uncle, cousin, and I for them to completely mess the whole order up. I had to repeat my order to the guy three times, only to go down to another register to repeat it all over again. I waited about 10 or 15mins for the subs to only find they were wrong, and had missing ingredients when I had already left! So I called into Penn Station, only for them to tell us unkindly “If your order is wrong, bring it back in for us to see.” As if we were lying about them! Brought the subs back in, manager was rude and acted like the subs were fine! He had an attitude, didn’t even apologize, and said he’d make us new ones. Waited for 10 or more minutes for them to remake the subs. Didn’t get no apology or concern about their mistakes. Manager even told the other employees that he didn’t care who did it. When we got the second remade subs mine barely had any meat on it. Poor poor service here, would...
Read moreThis is the best cheese steak you will ever have. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have eaten many cheese steaks. Even though this is a chain restaurant they have better sandwiches than Philly. Yes, I just said that
Here's my tip...get American cheese instead of provolone. Actually, they should be ashamed for having provolone as the default cheese.
You know what? I'm staying at a hotel 2 minutes from a Penn Station and I'm about to leave and get one. They are amazing!
Try the lemonade, it's great.
Fries are great too.
The only knock on this place is that it's EXPENSIVE. Like Philadelphia expensive. A 10" sandwich will cost you 10 bucks. But, it's a delicious ten dollars. Enjoy... And don't forget to substitute American for...
