Our very first meal in Jackson, Wyoming was a delicious one. My research I had found that Pica’s Mexican Taqueria had received good reviews, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. Pica’s is a simple walk up, order and pay, and then you find a seat and they bring the food to you. The prices weren’t too bad, especially considering you’re in Jackson where everything’s a little bit more pricey. I went with the chicken mole poblano enchiladas, and my wife got a wet burrito. The food was excellent. Very delicious, and full of flavor. We are used to getting chips and salsa/beans/cabbage upon arrival, but at Pica’s you have to pay for it. And unfortunately, it wasn’t until AFTER we paid for chips and salsa, that I saw their cheezey chorrrizo bean dip. So we got that as well. And THAT was EXCELLENT. The tortilla chips were crispy, salty, and delicious. Pica’s has a self-serve water station, and we also got some drinky-drinks. My wife enjoyed their margarita so much, she had a second. The inside seating was packed, so we found a nice spot outside. We ate as much as our stomachs could hold, and took the rest to go. My wife and I love us some Mexican food, and where we live in Central Cali, I’d argue we have some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico itself. So to be honest, my wife was not expecting much from this Wyoming spot. But this was excellent. We highly recommend stopping for a meal if you ever find...
Read moreThe worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've never bothered to write a Google review before, if that's any indication of the type of service necessary for me to do something like this. My girlfriend has a serious food allergy, so when a meal was brought that contained that allergen we politely sent it back. Then, I was brought the wrong meal. The servers were clearly overwhelmed and understaffed, so this wasn't a big deal. I asked for the correct meal to be made, and the guy apologized and said he put the order in. I waited an hour for this, and then asked about the status of the meal. The waiters became angry that I hadn't checked in again sooner, but I stayed calm and explained that I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. They angrily whispered about us while they halfheartedly attempted to give us our money back (which they did not do in full. We left town the day and just said forget it). The kicker is that the food apparently tasted like a toboggan coated in aardvark urine, and all so that some rich ski "bums" from Maryland could afford top shelf sativa and Fat Tire while they waited for the snow to return. DO NOT...
Read morePricey for what is served. I had a torta with breaded chicken breast, where I didn’t see that ground bread anywhere, until I looked closely it has like a super thin layer of it, almost nothing, Milanezas should be well breaded. The kind of bread as a bun that they offer is someone so different from a telera bread. The tacos al pastor we got also had nothing to do with it, I know I can’t expect real Mexican food but this place was too far from any expectations. When we arrive to order and then we try to sit down we noticed that almost all the tables where dirty, there just 2 tables occupied by customers. In the other hand it was very uncomfortable to see that PDA (Public Display of Affection) from this girl cashier towards his boyfriend in front of the cashier counter, too many hugs and kisses for at least 20 minutes in front of customers. Management should do something about it, because me, also a manager, I would not tolerate this...
