Fresca Gourmet — Restaurant in Jersey City

Hands down one of the WORST customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The deli men were not just rude they were flat-out disrespectful. Rolling their eyes, talking down to customers, and acting like doing their job was some kind of favor. It was disgusting to watch and even worse to experience.

And the manager? Even worse. Instead of correcting his staff, he doubled down with the same nasty, dismissive attitude. If that’s the type of leadership in charge, no wonder the employees think it’s okay to treat paying customers like trash.

This place clearly doesn’t value the people keeping them in business. Save yourself the headache and take your money elsewhere. Plenty of delis in the area know how to treat people with respect Fresca Gourmet is absolutely NOT one of them.

I've tried to be so nice to the cooks, but they never care to make an order I ask for the correct way. They plop down the pre-made eggs that have been sitting there for hours and slap some cheese on them and pretend that's a meal. I've asked MANY times for a fried egg and tried to explain what it means. I don't think the cooks are stupid, I think they're just lazy and don't care and it's so frustrating. I'm so over trying to ask for what I actually want and I'm giving up trying to get anything edible here. I'd rather pay more for something I actually want to eat, instead of argue about what a fried egg is. If you want pre-made food that's been sitting around for hours and lazy chefs who don't know how to make basic food, then have a blast ordering from here....

This is from my experience from today morning. There are two separate lines, one for ordering and one for payment. As usual I ordered the sandwich and went to the lady who is taking the payments.

Minimum credit card payment is $5 which I don’t know when I’m making the order. The board is too tiny sticked to payment machine. What if I don’t have a cash 🙆🏻‍♂️

The lady who takes the payment asked me what did I ordered. I clearly mentioned my ordered but she still checks with the guy who initially took my order. What is the point in asking me 🤷‍♂️

I gave 2 stars as breakfast sandwiches...
