What a horrible experience. Our party is mostly local but had a parent in from out of town that wanted to eat near the lake. Everything in this establishment is overpriced. From the apps, to the drinks and even the kids meals. $26 for overcooked calamari. Kids meals were $10 and did not include a side or a drink (which was $5 by the way). $16 for speciality bar drinks with minimal alcohol. I ordered the chicken Alfredo from the “specialty” menu. Only to be handed a bowl with maybe 20 noodles and no chicken. When I asked about this, the waitress was argumentative and told me that is how it comes. I pulled up the menu on my phone to show her the meal as listed as chicken Alfredo and the menu stated it came with it. She ended up bringing me out a bowl of shredded chicken towards the end of our meal. My friend ordered the patty melt and it was undercooked. She sent it back to have it cooked longer. Once it was brought back out it was clear it had been microwaved. We mentioned this to the server and she said she physically saw the kitchen put it on the grill and once again argued with our table. Finally our bill came, $300 by the way for 5 adults. Guess what, patty melt is still on there. We then speak with the manager who also states it was put on the grill, not the microwave. The manager walked to our table and took the patty melt in the box and finally took it off the bill. Overall very underwhelming experience. Horrible food, horrible service. As someone that grew up in this area, it is disappointing we have such a poor run establishment that is stealing peoples money. Do...

Went to eat there yesterday the service sucks really gave they didn’t want black people there first they tried to sit us only two of us at the middle table of the restaurant for 6 knowing it was a smaller table by the windows I insisted we sit by the window after we heard the hostess talking about us to another waitress then the waitress we had was very rude she was being very sarcastic about us asking about things on the menu after we got our food my friend glass was dirty the waitress was mad cause we ask for another glass she was saying that she squeezed the lemon in the drink without asking us if we wanted her to but that was not the problem there was a dirt spot inside the glass which was black my friend outed the lemonade into another glass got a napkin a wipe the glass inside n the black mark came off she was mad for us doing that then we get our bill she was watching to make sure we have her a tip when we got up from the table she grab the bill followed me got in front of me stood there and ask if I was going to leave her a tip loudly in front of the whole restaurant I told her the service was very weird but I did give her a $10.00 tip not for the service but I felt a certain way n I felt I had to give her a tip which I did but I never experienced this before from a waitress asking for a tip after she knew she was a bad waitress towards us n let me say this we was the only two black customers in the restaurant they did not want us to eat there we will never be back poor service n we feel they was very much prejudiced not sorry for saying that but we was...

Popeyes Friday Night family style, all-you-can-eat, Fish Fry has been a long time favorite for my family and me so when I received an email last week that they were changing to a single plate serving I was a bit worried about the changes, but figured I’d give it a try.

My sister and I went there on the first Friday with the new style and although I didn’t care for it as much, the food was still tasty. For me, I felt the quantity of food was enough for me, but had my husband been with me, he would not have been filled with the smaller quantity. I'm okay with the change from all you can eat to individual plates for the fish fry, but the size of the individual pieces of fish as well as the one potato pancake that we received was very small, much smaller than used to be served with all you can eat. We also noticed they served the meal on a smaller plate, which made it look like a large quantity, but making the plate size smaller didn’t hide the fact that the portion size is smaller.

The real complaint is that we were charged $4.99 for a glass of soda. That is ridiculous and highway robbery! Very disappointing. I was also very upset when I spent $8.99 for a small slice of cake and $8.99 for a small slice of key lime pie. I am more than happy to pay a reasonable price for dessert, but only if the portion size is proportionate to the price.

Overall, our visit to Popeyes was not nearly as positive as it has been in the past. I’ll probably give it another try in a couple of months, but I’m pretty sure I’ll only order water and will...

Really loved the fish fry & ambiance! Got a lovely spot seated overlooking the lake and the mermaid mast of the boat bar. UPDATE MAY 2023: Rerating to 3 stars from 5. This place has gone downhill. The fish fry is no longer All You Can Eat, but still $20. Hushpuppies are no longer offered. Today, they were out of potato pancakes by 5 pm! Asked for tots as a substitute since they have an AYCE chicken tenders & tots special now for $15 on Fridays. Kitchen couldn't honor it. Didn't get double fries or anything to make up for the missing sides (pancakes & hushpuppys). I get bigger samples of coleslaw at Costco. They could at least add rye bread. Fish was fine like always. You are now charged for individual lemon wedges and other condiments like mayo packets. It felt so petty. We drive 45 minutes to enjoy Popeyes on the regular, as a family tradition for close to a decade. I could have gotten something with better features, for less, much closer to home. Maybe they need to stop their deep discounts and promos to combat a poor food experience and an overall petty feeling, being nickled and dimed. Luckily, our server was cheery and did give us a couple of lemon wedges for free. I hope she doesn't get in trouble for her generosity. I'll refrain from using her name, as management may frown on offerings on the house. No longer worth the drive.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try for our anniversary. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the view of the water. They sat us at a picnic table and within 5 minutes I was already getting tired of sitting at a bench with no back to lean back on. Now when we started looking at the menu we were in shock at the prices. We wanted to have a cocktail with our dinner so we both ordered a MaiTai, they were $15 for a regular and $20 for a large, we decided to get the large and just get one each. We both ordered the rotisserie chicken and it was very good. My complaint is what you get for your money. The chicken only comes with potatoes and Cole slaw. I'm sorry, maybe it's just me, but a dinner priced like they have it priced should include some kind of vegetable too. Neither one of us even got any kind of buzz from our large MaiTai and felt like that was just a waste of money and they call it their "famous" MaiTai, we have to disagree. All in all this was not an awful experience, but the drinks should have been a little better for $20. Picnic tables do not belong at a place that charges $25 for a half rotisserie chicken, picnic tables belong at places that sell $5 hotdogs and $10 hamburgers. Two people = $100, nah, I won't be back, but that's just me.

My boyfriend ordered something I think was called the "Ultimate" burger. It's a large double cheese burger with all the fixings including mushrooms. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It came with seasoned fries and he was pretty happy. I ordered a salad that was your typical salad that contained; lettuce tomato cucumber green pepper; a long with a handful of shredded barbecued chicken on top. The salad was just ok and, for me, not worth $15.99 but, it is Lake Geneva. The part I had a real problem with though is that they charge $15 each for their so-called "Famous Mai Tai". We each had one and then we had a different drink called, "The Hurricane", again $15 each. I guess we should've looked at the prices on the menu before ordering because they were definitely not worth the price and, they said they were 24 ounce glasses but, I poured one into my water bottle that has measurements on the side, and it turns out, you get about 18 oz.. Our total bill for the burger, salad, and 4 drinks came to $101. Too much money for what we had. We could've gone out for surf and turf with a couple of glasses if good wine for that price, yikes!
