I saved this place for last before I left Vegas to go back home to Cleveland. I instantly fell in love with this store because although there are similar shops in Cleveland they don't have this kind of selection.
I was completely lost because everywhere that I turned I seen something of interest. It was overwhelming for me to the point that I was drawing blanks on what to get. I walked around the store a few times to take it all in and then I looked up and seen that they had autographed memorabilia. The first thing that caught my eye was a Damon Waynes auto for The Last Boy Scout but then I looked over a little more and there was a Marilyn Mason book signed. I instantly grabbed it and from that point I started to see other things. While I was doing my thing my wife was finding herself movies.
When we finally got to the register to check out I glanced up and seen a copy of The Dirt signed by the whole band. At first I was hesitant but my wife being the wonderful woman that she is convinced me to get it (it didn't take much) and I thought that was it but as we were leaving. The guy working there hooked me up with a Record City T-shirt. That made my whole day.
I cannot wait to go back. I've already have ideas of what I want to get next time. I can't recommend this place enough. If you enjoy music in multiple forms, movies or collectables? You have to go and if the person that was working there remembers me and reads this? Thank you for your time and making my experience a positive one that I...
Read moreBest record store ever! If you have been in a record store more than 30 years ago, get ready to feel like you are going to that good old store in your neighborhood. Great conversations from the owners and the employees. A sense of pride in Las Vegas that you don't often run into. Incredible mix of old and original albums along with new albums. They have old school posters and magazines as well. Actual authentic vintage old stuff. Not the reproduction stuff from Hot topic. The store employees were chatting me up and noticed my tastes, and recommended a few albums that I had been looking for but forgot about. By the end of it I thought I was going to buy a mogwai/gremlin in the secret back room hahaha. The employees were also unboxing new albums and getting them ready to go on the shelves so you know there is great reasons to come back often. I'll definitely be back. Say hi to Joey...
Read moreI found this store on Google while in town and wasn't disappointed. Really large selection of used records, some pretty expensive in my opinion but then there are some bargains too. I spent $35 and came out with some great finds. I splurged on two blues records which were about $15 of my total spend, but hit the $1.50 section and found a lot of gems. I got two first pressings of Elvis first album for $1.50 each, though they don't have a cover, still an amazing find, would easily grade at VG. I'm sure that you could find some hard to find records here and save some money over Discogs with the shipping costs. Manager was really friendly and took great care of me. If you're looking for original pressings then this is your place. Easily accessible walk from the...
