Can’t praise or recommend this place enough. The staff is incredible, all their drinks are made with home made ingredients, the attention to detail is obvious in every single one of their creations. On top of their quality cocktails and the best michelada hands downtheir space is really clean and offers a more alternative, almost grungy look paired with a modern bar area. It’s welcoming and cozy in a more industrial way, hard to describe but the vibe is unique and fitting. There is also a cool outdoor area that fits the fact that their space was formerly a garage.
We make sure to bring every person we know to this bar any chance we get. Their menu rotates but has been a bit more stable for a while, which is a good thing because there are so many favorites and you can’t have all of them in one night (you could but I wouldn’t recommend).
When you come in they immediately pour you some fresh water and are attentive to the fact that people need to stay hydrated.
Now to some of their cocktails that are our favorites: Pandan Key Lime: like a beautiful dessert in liquid form Yuzu Yogurt Chili: tart, not too sweet, a good kick from the chili and overall just light and refreshing Pico de Gallo Michelada: no words. Just try it. One of my favorite things is to watch people try it for the first time, everyone so far has been amazed. All their shots!!: horseradish (just try it and have your mind blown), tequila verdita (so smooth and delicious, vindaloo (like you had the best indian meal in seconds), yuzu drop (heaven, and also offered as a full cocktail upon request). Most shots are shot + chaser and it’s magic.
They also offer N/A drinks that are as well made in house. Their Ginger beer is 10/10.
If you want to have a memorable experience give them a shot. They are the best bar in town and I will...
Read moreLiquid Diet isn’t just a bar—it’s a full experience. Every drink is hand-crafted with the freshest ingredients, and every single one we tried was a hit. The ambiance is unique, featuring repurposed furnishings that give the place a cozy, eclectic vibe. You also get a full view of the hustle and bustle behind the scenes, where the staff prepare tinctures and fresh ingredients for the cocktails right in front of you. It adds a special energy to the place.
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients and the flavor profiles of each cocktail, which made the experience even better. My absolute favorite was the horseradish shot—it transported me back to a time when I used to visit a Russian restaurant after my shifts waiting tables. There, I would enjoy Baltika beer and horseradish shots. It was such a nostalgic moment for me, and it was the highlight of the night. I also miss the amazing raspberry shot from that same Russian restaurant, but Liquid Diet’s horseradish shot was just as memorable.
I’ll definitely be going back, and the best part is that the menu is always rotating, so you never know what you’re going to get. But trust me, whatever you choose...
Read moreCat H of Bar Ginza, my previous stop, upon hearing that I was intending to hit Liquid Diet next, kindly gave me directions. Something I actually needed as it turned out, as Google Maps allowed me to walk right past the open gate in the alley to cross into Silent Hill before I realized my mistake.
Atmosphere: Cheerfully chaotic backyard bar. Menu was black marker on pieces of cardboard tacked above the bar, along with the skull of what looked like a giant buzzard. The skull's eye sockets were handy (literally) loops for the crossbar from which dangled another skull. Bunches of bananas swung beside pots and pans, while brass animals, mismatched glasses and tea cups, and succulents were scattered over the various counters. It was as if grandma's storage unit had exploded over her grandson's man cave.
Horseradish Shot w/tomato water chaser ($10): Had that strong sinus-clearing taste but so clean I barely needed the chaser to soothe my tongue. Pungent and lingering; I swear I caught whiffs of the horseradish seeping from my pores long afterwards.
Value: A bit steep but not bad for an unusual drink.
Service: Very friendly and pretty prompt even in the busy...
