Normally when I write a bad review, I give a place 3 times, if it’s something that is a simple fix. However, the Triple 7 Brew house, they are going on blast right now! We have now had two bad experiences with the same food server. I’m not sure her name, as she was missing her name tag and when I asked, she said it so fast I could not understand. However, I will say that she was in her mid-40’s and of African American Decent. This was on Monday night, 8-5-19 around 6PM. When we came up to the hostess stand, she was there talking with the hostess for some time, before recognizing we were standing right there listening to a chat about bad boyfriends and if they don’t have a big D@#% it’s not worth the drama… Well the hostess asked her to take us to her table. I was not to thrilled with this as we have had this server before. She was rude and hard to find the time before, and I thought to myself, maybe she was just having a bad night, let it go. So, when we got to the table and I approached my chair, the waitress suddenly darted under me, stepping on my foot (that was only protected by a flip-flop) with her industrial shoes. With an apology that left me wondering, she took off. At this point I’d like to state that I work in a construction office. I own a hard hat and have an Occupational Safety and Health Administration card also; I keep them both at my desk. So when the waitress came back to the table, I just wanted to make my order and hope for the best, but as I always get the hard hat special, it’s what I’d asked for, she refused! She said in a super snotty voice, almost felt she was mocking us because we are gay, was she? She said, “Oh Sweetheart, that’s for men! Do you even own a hard hat? Or show me your OSHA card?” then she laughed and said, I’ll be back to get your order. Normally this would have caused me to call over a manager, stepped on and mocked? What the hell am I in the Twilight zone? Since we moved into the area back in April, we have been coming here about 3 times a week. 2 out of 3 it’ll be a weekday, and we get that special, no questions asked. We have been bringing friends with us to this place as we felt it is a bit of hidden Las Vegas Gem. What is going on with this waitress? Why is she making me feel like I’m up in Idaho, where they bash gays in the street openly and proudly? Well I’m not sure we will be coming back into this place again, bad taste in mouth and all, and I just don’t want to see that nasty...
Read moreWent on 10/2/2021 for dinner with my husband.
I have Celiac disease thus I can't eat any gluten.
I don't understand how casino restaurants in a tourist mecca like Las Vegas of all places, in 2021, still don't have menus that note which items that they serve are gluten free or not.
It's so annoying having to explain what "gluten free" is to every waiter, then wait for them to question the kitchen staff, who don't necessarily know what they're looking for. (No, cornstarch isn't gluten.)
It's such a burden for the customer and it drags out the time it takes to order by a good 15-20+ minutes every time.
My husband and I ordered the prime ribs ($17.50) He ordered his medium rare and I said "whatever is the rarest piece still available." The waitress said, "so rare?" I said, "yeah, sometimes places only have medium as their rarest piece later at night, so if that's the rarest piece still available, that's fine."
Because of the non-marked, gluten-free menu and the fact that we had a show to catch, I didn't want to have to wait longer to only to be told the kitchen only had medium rare or medium left and would that be ok? So if medium rare or medium or charred to the bone is the rarest piece left, it's fine, I'm saying ahead of time that I'll take it.
Somehow even with my clarification, my prime rib came out straight up raw. Like laughably not even black and blue rare, it looked like it touched heat for a moment. It was nearly impossible to cut but I took it home and heated it up in my air fryer for 10 minutes and it was still rare, but not raw.
I'm glad to know I can get a gluten free prime rib in this town, as many places have gluten in their prime rib seasoning, but I'll make sure to order it medium rare to avoid a basically raw...
Read moreThis was my second time eating at the Triple 7 restaurant. The first time was 2 years ago and the food unimpressive, I ordered a fried fish plate and it was pretty bland. I ordered a different item this time, the Korean Tacos with slightly higher hopes.
Seeing as how the same beer they serve in the microbrewery is the same stuff available for free in the casino, I usually order something else to drink in the restaurant.
Service this time around was a bit slow, a short wait to be seated, then a few minutes before a waitress came to the table, and then a decent wait for the food to arrive. When the food came to the table the order of tacos were fair in size. They came with the option of soft or hard shells, I opted for the hard shells.
The tacos contained what I can only describe as chipped beef, or something similar to cheese steak meat, some spring salad mix, and some sriracha sauce on top. The plate came with a side of cucumber salad, which was OK, but not really Korean, not pickled much and reminded me more of a Thai cucumber salad.
I wouldn't say the tacos were bad, just OK. They were something I would expect from a food truck that wasn't Korean themed but just offering a wide assortment of items.
Overall the first meal was unimpressive flavor wise, this meal had more flavor and spice, but lacked any authenticity, and was just enough to put a dent in my hunger, but not enough to warrant the $10 price on the plate of 3 tacos and some cucumbers.
I may return again while gambling in this casino, but my optimism of getting a really good item here at a decent price is fading. If you eat here don't set your expectations too high, and try to avoid peak dining hours as service is slow even at...
