!!UPDATE!! I received a message back from Chipotle which I thought was a good sign, a woman named Josephine asked me for the details of the location and my order, which I provided to her, but other than that I have not heard back from anyone despite responding the email and submitting another message through the website. I did go to the hospital as this was obviously an alarming situation and they did confirm that the item in my food is a tooth of some kind. (and it can’t be mine because I have dentures) I am super upset with the situation and with Chipotle’s lack of response or accountability. I have been in contact with my attorney and have been advised on how to proceed.
I ordered a guacamole burrito bowl from the South Logan, UT location tonight and as I was eating it I bit into to something VERY HARD, I spit it out…obviously, and I am not even kidding you when I say it looks like a ROTTEN TOOTH, it has a foul odor to it and a taste I can not brush out of my mouth. I tried contacting the location directly to get advise on what I should do… but the automated system doesn’t allow that, I also tried using the website, using “Pepper” the chat bot but it was EXTREMELY unhelpful, it asks like two questions and then ends the chat for you. I did write in a concern to Chipotle using their “Contact Us” form on the website but I’m obviously not getting any answers back from that as quickly as I need to. I also tried to go through DoorDash because thats how I received my order but they said they were “Transferring me to a ‘specialist’ for assistance” and then they did the same thing “Pepper” did. Read moreYesterday I ordered chipotle online. The wait time seemed good - about 10 min according to the order, so I headed to the restaurant. I ordered a chicken burrito, chicken burrito bowl with extra meat, and chips & queso. I waited 45 minutes for my pickup order, while the line for walk ins was consistently moving. There were several people waiting for their pick up orders as well, some had been waiting much longer than me. Many of us were tired of waiting, and tried to cancel our online orders, which seems to be very difficult, or impossible, based on the platform options on the app and website. So we had no options to cancel and get a refund, and continued to wait for our orders. A staff member did bring us drink cups and little chips bags to make up for the wait, but when I received my order, a lot of it was wrong. There was no queso (ordered for the burrito, burrito bowl, and chips & queso) and no extra meat with the burrito bowl - both things we had paid extra for. At that point I left because I was tired and hungry and didn't want to try to correct it since the wait was so long.
I know its an approximation, but I think it's a little shady to say an online order will be ready at a certain time when it won't be, and there's a 45 min wait, offer no option to cancel it or request a refund, and offer no refund option if the order is incorrect.
