B&D'S FOOD HUT — Restaurant in Long Beach

My daughter and I decided to stop in yesterday for the 1st time. The staff and I believe the owner were super friendly. Atmosphere was amazing very cozy. My daughter ordered fish and chips and Chowder and I had a patty with cheese and bacon nothing bun or anything else. The fish my daughter said didn’t taste good. She like the clam chowder. My burger was prepared wrong initially, mistakes happen that wasn’t my issue. The burger was bland and not a good quality of meat for getting charged 12.00 for just a patty, cheese and bacon that I wasn’t charged for because of the mistake thank you. I just really think the size of the patty and quality of meat needs to be better. I am definitely not trying to be harsh or mean. I think that was the down fall for me.

My family came here to support my daughter who is playing in the band at the parade down the street. We saw this tiny little restaurant and thought we would give it a try. They started off as a food cart but now they have this restaurant. They opened up their door on January 19th. I ordered the High Tide high which is a beef / lamb gyro. I was pleased with how they did not skimp on the sauce and it tasted elicious. My husband ordered a chicken gyro. He said it was equally as good 👍. My eldest son ordered a chicken hamburger and he really enjoyed it ge ate it all but the pickles. My youngest ordered mini corn dogs. Came to Long Beach for the Kite Festival and tried B&D’s OMG is all I have to say!!!!!! The smash burger was huge and loaded with goodness and my son devoured it, the Italian raspberry soda was fabulous. I had the bbq chicken sandwich , let me tell you it was piled high with real thick pieces of bacon and the chicken was yummmmmm!!! The fries stole the show, either regular or garlic parm they were soooooo good !! Next time your in town you gotta try this place. Prices were not too high, the staff was amazing and so friendly we even got a buzzer so we could sit on the benches and wait for our food (brilliant idea ).
