Service: Service was mediocre. Server never came to check if we needed anything which we did and it was napkins. The single ones left with the utensils was not enough. Never asked if food was ok. Nothing.
Food: The food was mediocre. Really mad I spent $100+ on mediocre food. My husband ordered a shrimp and pulpo aguachile and it lacked flavor. It was not citrusy nor spicy it was bland. I ordered a pulpo al ajillo and it was also bland. No flavor at all. Just some “sauce” that was brushed on. The rice was also flavorless and well the salad…. Yeah. The lemon, salt and hot sauce that I added on the octopus practically was the flavor. We also ordered the queso fundido. The mix balazo was good. It was good however 3 tortillas only was not enough for that amount of queso.
Drinks: Michelada was nothing special. Aguamelon tasted nothing like a watermelon Mexican candy. Tasted very watered down. Disappointed.
The women’s restroom had no changing table for a baby and was very dark. Overall, looks very runned down compared to the restaurant itself which is very nice aesthetically. Also one of the soap dispensers, the one on the left either was broken or empty. Bathroom needs to be updated so it can match the restaurant and not feel dirty. Also add changing...
Read moreHow curious I find this bad review, because I was also there right at that moment, and yes, it was quite uncomfortable, to see how one of the girls, started the argument with the boy with glasses, it was she who started screaming without caring how many customers we were witnessing that unpleasant moment. That was the girl who was taking care of us and even before the argument she was never kind to us, and I could notice that she was not nice with other customers either... This girl's bad service was what brought me here and I found it very funny and unfair to see this comment, because I witnessed the total opposite. Anyway, the food was very good, I liked it, the drinks were also very good, the place is nice, but the service was terrible. Maybe I would come back, but I hope I won't be attended by any of...
Read moreEl Viejon Mariscos & Sushi is hands down one of my new favorite spots in Long Beach. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the sushi was packed with flavor, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was fun and welcoming. The micheladas hit the spot, and the portions were super generous.
What really made the experience stand out was the service. A huge shoutout to Darren, — he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell he really cares about the customers and the quality of the experience. That level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated!
If you love bold flavors, good music, and great service, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be...
