NEVER ENTER THIS RESTAURANT!
If there is a possibility here to select zero stars, I would do it. Look at what happened. My thai restaurants are Nara Thai Cuisine, Dragon Fly and Street Thai Cafe in Long Beach. All of them close at 9 p.m. Since it was already 8:45 p.m., there was not enough time to have dinner at any of ther. I went online to see if there was any thai restaurant that works until 10 p.m. and I found those restaurant. The atmosphere regarding guests was fine. My favorite thai meal is Chicken Pad Thai. I have a great experience regarding this particular dish because I order them in the three restaurants I mentioned above. The waitress in this restaurant, the Naree Thai have brought to me as small quantity of the Chicken Pad Thai dish as it can fit on one if your palms. The quantity of it was three times smaller than in any of my favorite thai restaurants. I entered this restaurant hungry. I had not more than four bites of food and that was it. It was a shame to charge $20 for four bites of food. My fault was for I didn't complain before I started to eat. Instead, I complained after those four bites, which means after I finished the dish. They brought me the Chicken Pad Thai in a deep plate, intended for soup. The quantity of the dish was enough just to cover the bottom of the plate. Now, go and visit the three restaurants I mentioned and go and see how big the Chicken Pad Thai dish is. It is big that I always need to ask for the box to get home the rest of it I couldn't eat.
In Naree Thai you will enter hungry and exit hungry.
The service was bad. They would put the fork somewhere at the table instead of positioning it right in front of you. You will get sauces (soy sauce and hot sauce) only if you ask them for it. They would get you the sauce in plastic bottles. Very bad. In my favorite thai restaurants I mentioned above, the sauces are in glass sauce bottles. No plastic.
Overall, I am completely way too much unsatisfied.
Don't visit this place. I paid them $20 for nothing. I asked for the manager to come to me so I complain to them about this. The manager, a female, approached my table and told me: "I am the one who made the dish for you." 🙂 I told her the dish she made didn't deserve the price of $20 and that she should charge people at least $10 less since the quantity of food in the meal wasn't enough even for a five-year-old child.
Go eat...
Read moreMy first time at this restaurant was actually really great, so much so I decided to come back the following day. I came in not having such a great morning and quickly placed my order. When I received my dish I noticed the smell of peanuts, and Immediately knew something was wrong, because of my peanut allergy. I called my server and sincerely apologized for my mistake and told her of my peanut allergy. She seemed pretty annoyed and very coldy told me to hold on. Moments later i was told "there's nothing we could do." I was SPEECHLESS
I pleaded with the staff that I would eat the dish but I couldn't have any peanuts.
I was then told that I needed to pay for the dish that was made regardless, and then ask what I wanted instead. I proceeded to order but at this point I completely lost my appetite. I was told by the manager that I needed to pay at least half for the dish. And then told that I should place my future orders on GrubHub to make it easier.
As a server myself I've had many customers make mistakes and graciously fix them, without a second thought.
I'm really saddened by this experience.
The food is great but if you're reading this commend I'd recommend making sure you double-check with your server before placing your order, because they will charge you for...
Read moreStaying at the Courtyard hotel, and stopped here for dinner with my sister. I ordered the Pad Thai and she ordered the Pineapple Curry. The restaurant was not very busy and we were greeted immediately when we walked in. Seating was open and we chose to sit at the bar. I also ordered the Spicy Thai alcoholic beverage, not too sweet and the glass rim was trimmed with sugar and Thai spices which really compliments the flavor. Food came quickly and was piping hot. I really liked the Pad Thai, medium spicy, not very "medium " by my taste, but still delicious. My sister enjoyed the curry, but it was not served with rice, which we found odd. She still enjoyed the dish as it was. Overall we had a nice experience and if you're in the area looking for Thai, this is a...
