New Amsterdam on First and Linden is a true hidden pet-friendly gem of Arabic cuisine in downtown Long Beach. I ordered the chicken and beef kebabs, accompanied by their rice, which featured flavors I had never experienced before – absolutely delectable. The highlight was discovering that the chef behind these incredible dishes is none other than the owner's mother, whose cooking skills left me wanting to request her secret recipe!
We also indulged in their hummus, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best hummus I’ve ever tasted – rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Read moreA great find and a newer restaurant in the area . Decided to drop in on a weekend early evening .
Was immediately greeted by staff and welcomed . They are very kind and hospitable and made me feel like home .
Menu is straight forward with traditional middle eastern classic plates

A suggestion that would elevate the food and experience even further would be to have warm pita bread or in future perhaps make home made . It makes a huge difference.
Wine is offered on the menu and goes very well with the meal .
A good place to visit when you are in the...
