These sandwiches are bigger than my cat. Also would say this is one of my favorite sandwiches in Los Angeles. I am half Italian and I’ve been to Italy many times and can confirm this is a very authentic and delicious sandwich spot. They originally opened in 1991 in Florence and because of their popularity they now have multiple locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. I would not be surprised if more will be opening sometime soon, especially in OC or San Diego. There are not like the hoagie type of Bay Cities sandwiches they are much more meat and bread focused. The meat is much higher quality than you get at other locations and the bread is honestly huge and tasty. The focaccia bread is lightly coated with olive oil and it really makes for a delicious combination. The truffle spread on The Boss was absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed the others as well. I chose to do takeout for my order so did not dine in so cannot speak to in dining but I can confirm that takeout is honestly fantastic.

For our first visit, we wanted to try a few different items. We ordered the La Schiacciata Del Boss, La Dante, and The New Yorker. Our favorite of the three was The Boss especially because of the prosciutto and truffle cream combination. It was honestly amazing and I already want to get it again. La Dante is also very similar, but they use capocollo instead of prosciutto. The New Yorker was also very good and the roast beef was very lean and flavorful. The onion cream on it was also a new combo for me and I honestly really enjoyed it.

Pricing is fair, the sandwiches are huge, and the flavors are stupendous. I definitely would recommend to any fan of sandwiches, Italian food, or anyone looking for a unique and delicious breakfast or...

First, the conclusion: I found the cost-performance ratio to be low. The prices are high, and the wait time is long. It's worth trying once, but not a place I would frequent.

Originally from Italy, this sandwich shop is touted as the best in the world. My boyfriend discovered it online and had been eager to try it. We finally visited it during a holiday. Located in Venice, on the west side of Los Angeles, the area is bustling with people shopping. The weather was great and very pleasant. There's a valet parking service right next to the sandwich shop, which charges a daily rate until 5 PM. I found this reasonable.

Next, we lined up to buy the sandwiches. We later found out that you can order online and just pick up your order, which is made fresh. We waited for over an hour in line.

The sandwiches are large but quite expensive, ranging from $12 to $20 each. We chose La Paradiso and Dolcezze d’autunno.

🥪 La Paradiso: Italian sausage, Stracciatella cheese, pistachio cream, pistachios. The pistachio cream was delicious. My boyfriend was pleasantly surprised and said he would want to add it to everything if it could be purchased separately.

🥪 Dolcezze d‘autunno: Lardo, Gorgonzola cheese, truffle honey. The combination of truffle honey was indeed good. I love the sweet and salty mix, which suited my taste. However, I personally don’t prefer hard bread, so I would have liked it more if it was served on a softer bread.

The flavors were excellent, offering a unique experience for us who are not familiar with Italian sandwiches. However, the long wait and high prices make it a one-time experience for us.

🛍️ I recommend ordering online and picking up in person, although online prices are...
