Navigating a busy day with demanding customers can be a daunting task, but the Hollywood branch of Cava turned it into a breeze with their exceptional fast food and outstanding service. This place truly stands out as a customer first mentality.

I was in need of feeding a crew for the evening, and as I’ve always been a fan of Cava’s bowls, I thought it would be a great idea to introduce it to the crew. I naturally had a HUGE order with specific allergy and dietary restrictions, and needed to work with the staff to get through it.

Despite the high volume of orders and the challenging nature of our customer base, the staff managed to prepare and serve our meals swiftly. The efficiency of the service attempted to reduce wait times for other customers attempting to pick up their meals. This is is crucial when dealing with tough customers (AKA Me).

One word--overrated. This is a wanna-be Chipotle, but for basic Mediterranean food. They may get business now because they're new in the area and the hype of the name, but with 2 other Mediterranean restaurants opening on the same block, Cava may find they have stiff competition. It was my first and last time here, at the top of the lunch hour, where I expected fresh food. I ordered Build Your Own Bowl. I should've known when I saw the bottom of the barrel of brown rice, there was going to be a problem. The rice was so hard and dried out. For protein, I chose grilled chicken and lamb. Be warned, the lamb is $3 extra and the server wouldn't let me forget, to the point where I felt like he thought I couldn't afford it. The lamb was good, but the chicken also dry. Plus, he tried to serve me literal crumbs of chicken, but when I noticed, I had to direct him to the meatier parts of cut up chicken. You get about 1 to 2 tablespoons of each meat-- not enough for the big bowl at all. They give you plenty of options of veggies at no additional cost, but avocado is also extra. When it was all said and done, I paid $19 for a bowl of veggies, minimal protein, and rock hard rice. I had to ask for more rice, which they obliged, but because the rice is all the way at the bottom of the bowl, it's no way to remove the old rice and/or not eat it. Well Cava, you got me once, but you won't again. I've even let my coworkers know to consider some place else or the other one of two Mediterranean spots...
