Chick & Burger — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Chick & Burger nailed the flavor but left me wishing for a little more. This is a small business with heart, and the woman who took my order was kind and welcoming. I genuinely hope they thrive. I’d also encourage the owners to engage with their Google reviews and hear the feedback, because it’s clear people want them to succeed. The food is already delicious, and with a few thoughtful tweaks, they could easily be a five star spot.

The fried chicken sandwich was a standout. Juicy, tender, full of flavor, and balanced perfectly with honey butter and light mayo. The bun held up, and the whole thing felt intentional, like someone cooked it with care. Honestly, one of the best chickens I’ve had anywhere. The bibimbap was also clean and comforting, no strange flavors, just solid balance. But the portion was small. I got both dishes thinking I’d have lunch and dinner, and ended up finishing the bibimbap quickly because there weren’t enough vegetables to round it out. For a dish that usually shines because of its mix and volume, that part felt underwhelming.

The meal came to $35.01 for take out, which isn’t bad for the quality, but the value didn’t fully match the flavor. A little more generosity with the portions, especially the vegetables or the slaw in the sandwich, would make a real difference. Still, the care shows, and I’d come back for that chicken in...

Dude outside is handing out flyers and syas the place is great. Ok I got 20min to pass. I asked the cashier girl if the order would take more than 20 min because I had to pick up my child. She said it would only take 10. The Dude who ordered before me got his in less than 10, but mine was going on 15min and came out with others (I'm sitting at the bar) this girl starts bagging the others, ok I got like 5 more min but then some Dude walks in and the girl abandons the task at hand. Ugh! It was right there! So close. So after about 2 min of their convo, I blurt out, "um...is one of those mine because I really need to leave." She said "just give me a min", like I've annoyed her and continues to help the Dude who JUST WALKED IN. Then she opens the bag she bagged up, takes out an item and gives me the bag. I hate how they make you tip upfront. Oh and my kid said the wings were gooey and the ranch is the nasty sour kind. I should have known since the ranch wasn't refridgerated. So it was a Monday at 11:30(upon opening hour)…one would assume it’s clean; owner Ryan who cooks etc, didn’t make my order and while waiting (now impatient) witnessed him ignore the precise order a gentleman made and then got upset cause several times he had to repeat NO onions or tomatoes and he said “I just told you three times”-upon getting his order it still had that; mine never came so I asked for refund and he was rude; used bathroom (**one said closed due to clog)-other which I used had huge trash overflowing and was filthy (upon opening)-table I sat still waiting for burger that never was made; floor beneath had fries still on ground and so sticky (which I mentioned to owner chef Ryan) my boots kept sticking disgustingly to the floor…people rating this place must be drunk when they come as this is gross unless your starving to eat after a night of clubs or bars In the area——and it’s not cheap (just the maintenance and...
