We found Chill on IG and thought that their photos and videos looked absolutely incredible.
We knew we had to try them before we left the state to see if they lived up to what they promote.
First off… the location and vibe is so freaken cute! They do a phenomenal job with branding and ambiance! Very picturesque and Ig worthy for sure!
The cashier was super friendly and gave wonderful recommendations based on what we told him we wanted to experience and what we were looking for.
We wanted to try a little bit of everything and loved the fact that you could get half servings of sandwiches and slices of pizza. I didn’t realize that what they call a “slice” of pizza is legit like 4 square slices of pizza essentially so you get PLENTY of food! But who doesn’t like leftovers! Trust us you’ll be happy to eat them later cause they still rock leftover!!!
We had a beer and wine while we waited for our food to come out and it felt like we were dining out in another country sitting on the patio area which was super cool.
The food came out and had to say that the photo’s definitely matched what they show!
Not only did it look incredible, but I can’t even tell you how BLOWN AWAY we were by the tastes and textures of it ALLL!!!
Like seriously… the facial expressions that were elicited from our first bites were hilarious because it was so damn good! We’re legit still dreaming and talking about this place!
We even recruited some people to try them out as we were sitting their eating to order and try them and when we asked what they thought, they were like “thank you for telling us!” 🤣🥰
The focaccia bread that the pizza and sandwiches are served on was soooooo fluffy, light with an incredible crunchy outside texture sprinkled with sea salt… OMG! You could legit just eat that by itself, but honestly they have their own olive oil and the quality and flavor of it paired with the bread was a GAME CHANGER!!!
We totally forgot to pick up a bottle so are going to make it a point to go and get a bottle before we continue in our travels!
Everything was calorie worthy, but our favs were probably the tuna sandwich (such a sleeper), the ham and squash blossom sandwich, sausage potato pizza, pepperoni pizza and the arugula prosciutto pizza. Basically everything!
They also have cookies!! The Ferrero rocher one legit tastes like one of the candies and the vegan Pb was NEXT LEVEL toooo!!!
Please do yourself a favor and make them a MUST EAT DESTINATION spot! You’ll be...
Read moreThe pizza is unreal - deserving of a sprinkling of gold flakes and salt grains tumbled off a prominent elbow.
Bold, out-of-the-box flavors that make you pause and wonder “someone needs a pizza building trophy in that kitchen.” That alone almost earned this place a standing ovation.
But then… the rest happened.
Aesthetically, the place draws you in like a movie set: clean lines, modern vibe, maybe even Instagram-worthy if you’re into that sort of thing. But once seated, it becomes clear — it’s all surface and no soul. Like a Sesame Street backdrop… vibrant, but hollow.
Service? Let’s call it “bare minimum chic.” The staff looked and moved like their shift was one Yelp complaint away from existential collapse. I asked the manager to break a $20 so I could leave a tip, and you’d have thought I asked him to disassemble a Rolex with his bare hands. Just bizarre. (Still wondering, why everyone else got plates - we got boxes… was this a tourist snub? - we indicated we would be dining in…”
And speaking of bizarre — no fountain drinks. Only bottled sodas, made from real cane sugar (my favorite type), but these were just a notch above room temp. Like, “we left this in the shade under the awning” - “YO”… (ahem..)
Seating? Imagine cafeteria meets minimalist design — pleasing only to those wishing for a warm soak in oil, tightly packed aluminum can with a pull top lid - serving just enough function to eat if your stay is brief and your comfort seeking standards aren’t high.
All in all - I’d have had a better time picking it up and eating it out the back of my truck, radio on, watching Beverly Hillbillies...
Read moreI love how very immaculate and aesthetic this place is it’s so cute 🥰. The food was so delicious and worth the fair price for their size of pizzas, the no charging extra for oat milk, and huge cookies, and if your hungry after shopping they have fast service . Although for the ambience it really depends because I remember the first time I ordered lunch (Margherita Slice / Iced Rose Matcha Latte/ Vegan PB cookie) the atmosphere felt chill and welcoming BUT the second time I went to get lunch months later (Arugula & Prosciutto Slice/ Iced Lavender Chai Latte/ Red Velvet Cookie ) with my sister it really felt uncomfortable 😣. So it really depends on any cafe or restaurant you plan to go because Costumers always are different Everyday. Also I’m really am surprised on how many people don’t realize that Brandy Melville is an Italian brand like of Course their cafe is going to serve pizzas like what?! What’s so shocking about that (yes I agree it’s “one size fits most”but they are just trying to not have to much inventory in too many sizes if most people like me are looking for small/medium just like how the cafe only serves oat because it’s what most popular in demand not just this cafe at the grove but any cafe you go to, and you will see for example that at Starbucks people mostly order oat in their drinks. Probably because it’s healthier, vegan and you’re probably lactose intolerant. It’s smart so no fabric or milk goes to waste.). Lmao. Anyways I would still come back to this cafe to try more of their menu...
