My friend recommended this place last week, so I finally paid a visit today. Man, this place is truly a gem. It is very trendy and well decorated, with interesting drinks menu.
DRINKS - I got double matcha (w almond milk) and my friend got cream top, and I loved loved my matcha. It is not too sweet but very flavorful. I am quite skeptical of matcha drinks because they tend to be either bland (watered down green tea with milk) or way to sweet, but stagger’s was very flavorful yet not too sweet. I asked the people when my friend got another matcha for togo, and they said they make their own syrup for their drinks. Impressive! My friend really liked her cream top as well. I really want to try their stagger tonic next time!
VIBE - Incredible. Its well lit, bright, with tons of plants (I dont know where they got it from, but they were gorgeous). They also got bunch of merch, almost bought their cups. I also noticed they use rocks (!) here and there as decorations, and they were really cute. I sat outside, and there were plants outside too which was cute. Wifi was fast, handful of people studying/working inside and out.
FOOD - I wanted to try their muffins (it said they bake them themselves) but they were sold out. I tried kouignamann instead, and it paired well with my matcha.
SERVICE - They were nice and friendly. I was actually surprised at how fast they were, given how crowded the place was. I got my drink in less than five minutes.
PARKING - There is a parking lot but it was full when I got there (Saturday afternoon) - it was not too hard to find street parking though, so wasnt a huge deal.
Id definitely come again!
UPDATE (2024-12-04) I visited again few days ago and finally tried their muffin - blueberry cheese muffin I think it was? and it was SO GOOD! I loved how warm it was, ugh if I lived closer I would go there every day for the muffin. My friend said she would actually like it cold, so maybe I will get two and try one after it cools down hehe. I also got stagger tonic, and that also did not disappoint (I actually liked it better than the matcha). Can't wait to go down...

First, the staff is amazing. They are friendly, efficient, and cheerful. The drinks get made super fast as they have their menu down to a science; there are no wasted movements and everything is choreographed to perfection. But even more importantly, they seem to be having fun there which keeps their spirits up.
The place has its private parking lot (with tight spaces) but it can often be full. But if you know ktown, you already know the whole area can be a mess and parking can be a pain to find. Valet was $3 at the time but have seen the price vary a lot.
The aesthetics are on point, minimalist and simple. The place is lovely for hanging out, getting work down, or even snapping some photos for social media. Keep in mind it's often busy and even on a random Tuesday morning you may find that there is no seating left.
Lastly, the star of the show, and the one drink you absolutely have to order if you come here - the double matcha. It's what made this place famous and why now there are even dupes nearby. The flavor profile is on point and for most people it will be worth it. If I'm being honest, it's too sweet for my personal preference but I also recognize that's the trend with matcha drinks nowadays and they are just following the hype to appeal to the matcha girlies that started consuming it yesterday.
Overall, if you are looking for a minimalist cafe with modern matcha drinks, this is the most trendy...

Stagger Coffee isn’t a coffee shop—it’s a sugar-fueled frat party in a to-go cup, and not in a good way.
First off, parking? Nonexistent. You’d have better luck finding a seat in a sold out Taylor Swift concert. I circled the block five times, contemplated selling my car, and still ended up parking in a questionable red zone that may or may not result in a ticket. Worth it? No.
Got inside and was immediately surrounded by a sea of college students, which makes sense for the area. The lines were long even on a Friday afternoon. All I wanted was caffeine.
Ordered the Double Matcha and Cream Top because it was all the rave. What I got was a green sugar bomb wearing a whipped cream hat. Matcha? Sugar with a hint of matcha. Cream top? Delicious but so sweet my fillings filed a formal complaint. I swear this drink is 90% sugar, 10% dairy, and 0% adult responsibility.
This place clearly wasn’t made for anyone with a functioning metabolism or a 9-to-5. It’s for the TikTok crowd and college kids. If you’re over 22, have bills, or prefer coffee that tastes like, well, coffee—run.
Verdict: Stagger Coffee is great… if you’re cramming for finals, filming a vlog, or trying to impress your group chat with a neon drink. But if you want actual coffee, good luck. And bring a scooter. You won’t...
