Smashburger — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I would like to say thank you to the staff who did the best they could in this situation while being short staffed on a busy night. The manager is terrible, and did not act professionally. He didn’t seem to take us seriously at all. Here’s my story: They brought us our food. I was supposed to have a veggie burger and my friend the regular smash burger. She eats her fries first, I dig into my burger and think “hm this tastes funny” BUT the receipt that was taped to the tray said that it was a veggie burger and some vegetarian burgers are very realistic now (like impossible for example, and this is my first time at smash burger!) so I eat it. My mistake, because my friend takes a bite and realizes what’s happened. So I go to try and get her a new burger because I accidentally ate hers. The cashier says she will get that done. We wait 20 minutes, no burger and we need to get going. I ask the runner who is dropping food and explain our situation and also now want a refund because they made me eat meat too. She is very kind and gets the manager for me. This man proceeds to tell me they won’t make my friend the correct burger, even though they mislabeled our food and she hasn’t eaten the veggie burger. He luckily did refund my burger but that was even a struggle to get done. He hardly apologized for the mix up. I understand things happen, but as a long time vegetarian it’s a big deal when you accidentally eat meat. Just a frustrating experience. I will not be returning and I recommend you...

Smashburger is a chain. This one is our favorite. Located at LA Live in Downtown LA it is filled with excitement and fun. Now, it is always crowded but the line moves fast and you will be fine.

You order your food at the counter and eat there or on their patio. You can also get take away or delivery. We love to eat there before a show at Crypto Arena (their food is awful by the way) which is right down the street and part of LA Live. The prices are fair and they have a good selection.

Parking is in a public lot for a fee, there is really no way to avoid that.

The service is super friendly and they are pretty quick. They are especially patient considering I have never seen it without a line out the door.

The place is very cute with nice seating inside and out. It is kept very clean.

The selection is nice. We love all their burgers and they also have great fries. We often get one of their salads and they are always fresh and crisp. I love that they have milk and their hand made milk shacks are super. They have chicken burgers that may grandson loves. I like their crispy brussel sprouts. Their sweet potato waffle fries are good are very good, but who am I kidding, they are not healthy, just get what you love and for me that is their French fries and tater tots. All of their food is good and you will be happy.

My girlfriend and I came to Smash burger to get something quick and simple to eat before watching the movies. When it was our turn to order, the waitress was just looking at us waiting for us to take our order, not even asking if we needed help. As we were saying our order the cashier didn't even take it down the first time and made us repeat our order again and gave us attitude like it was our fault that she was not attentive in taking our orders. Then when we got a combo, we went to the soda machine where all the drinks were watered down or super flat. Therefore the machine was overflowed with ice since people were dumping their drinks out. While we were waiting five minutes went by with a customer that took their order after us getting their burger served, then fifteen minutes pass by with everyone getting their order except ours. As we went to the front to ask for our order we came to find out that our food was not served to us because the super rude, inattentive, non professional cashier forgot to give us a number and we were late for the movies with no accomdations for waiting long and horrible customer service and getting our food cold and soggy. We will definitely not go back...
