Sunset Express — Restaurant in Los Angeles

An acquaintance recommended this spot. After parting ways, I was on my way home, when I saw it. I needed to pee. I would have done or said anything to use the restroom.

Let me start by explaining, this establishment would've received a 1 star rating, had the woman working not have allowed me to bring my bike inside while I placed my order. I paid for the food. The I asked to use their restroom, only to be shot down. She pointed to the sign taped to the glass sneeze guard .Before leaving she handed me a cup of water, instead of just a cup that I asked for. I took a few sips of water to be polite, as I move my bike out lthe front door. When I get home I reheated the food. Because it was cold when she handed it to me at the restaurant. It tasted strange. Now I know what strange. I have been sick to my stomach for 3 days. I can't say if it was the water made me sick or the food itself. I ordered broccoli beef and teriyaki chicken with chow mein and fried rice. Indoor plumbing and my bed. My advice is don't go there . Overall not a very clean environment. Teriyaki chicken has fat and bone. Something I haven't experience in other Chinese food restaurants. Taste is below average. Very bland fried rice and taste like the container is not well cleaned. I don't understand how you can completely miss the mark on fried rice. The chow mein is barely passable but I wouldn't pay for it. Orange chicken on the other hand surprising okay but other places can make it just like them or better. The walls looks grimey. Paint is falling off brown stains.The whole vibe and overall disappointing taste of the food... that's gotta be a no for me dawg. Don't wast your money on this just go to your go to spots. Not...

The exact heavy plate of Chinese takeout you want after a few drinks, or you want to settle into a food coma for cheap. Went near closing and they didn't have a ton of options left in front, but the sweet woman there loaded us up MASSIVE boxes of what was left. Chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, these delicious roasted potatoes with some type of soy sauce, beef and broccoli.

Probably half an hour before closing and the food still tasted super fresh, and all well seasoned. Two GIGANTIC takeout boxes for two people was under 25$, hard to beat for sure. Great...
