El Torazo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Louisville

My fiancé and I tried this place last night, and it was pretty disappointing all around. We were sat immediately because it was pretty slow. Which surprised us with it being a Friday night during regular dinner hours. We ordered margaritas and were brought chips and salsa within about 5 minutes of sitting. Then came the disappointments. The margaritas had almost zero tequila and tasted watered down. I've had better margaritas from the premix stuff you can buy off the shelf. Definitely not the premium quality you'd expect from a sit-down establishment. They also came in 2 glasses for each of us - 2 small glasses that measured out to a little less than what you might get at literally any other Mexican restaurant. If this is their "2 for 1" special I saw in other reviews, it's a joke. Then there was the waiting and inattentive staff. We were nearly finished with our chips and salsa before anyone even took our order. Twenty minutes we sat there wondering where all the wait staff went before someone asked if we were ready to order. Mind you, the restaurant was over half empty, so they were not busy by any stretch. Then we waited another 10 minutes for our food that came out lukewarm. They also forgot the guacamole we ordered, and when I tried to tell the waiter for it table, I was ignored and walked away from. Pile onto that the fact that the prices were higher than most other places. In short, this was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had in any restaurant, and I would recommend trying anyplace else when you are craving some Mexican food. Seriously -...

(10/10/27) 13 of Good Shepherd Church’s Lunch Bunch went to eat today at El Torazo Mexican Restaurant. We really enjoyed being in their Party Room. There was room for us to fit at the table comfortably and we were able to talk to our group. Our Server today was Noe. And he was excellent. While we were getting seated he took our beverage orders. Then after he came back with the drinks, he started taking our food orders. Noe did a great job taking our orders and was really quick. It wasn’t very long until Noe and another server came back thru the door, carrying plates of food in their arms. I quickly took pictures of the food so that I could share them with you all. When the meals came they were steamy hot. Everyone loved their meals. Two of us had the Steak Burrito Supremo, that came with Rice and Beans. It was perfect! My husband had Pollo Monterrey, which was a very large portion. He really thought it was delicious. Another meal that was very delicious looking was the Arroz con Pollo. It was Rice With Grilled Chicken Strips and in the middle was a small bowl of Queso that you were to pour over your Rice and Chicken. We really had a great time today. We’ve been eating here for about the whole time that the restaurant has been open. The restaurant is very clean, one of his employees has been here for almost the whole time. Everyone is so friendly. Had been there for dinner with my husband. Service was awful. Customers who came after us were being served before us. Multiple servers kept walking past us - without refilling the bowl of chips and salsa, without asking us if someone has been to serve us yet. When the server finally came to our table to take our orders, i clearly specified No Dairy because Im allergic, and another server(not the one who took our order) ends up bringing my food with chipotle sauce. When i asked him to kindly get me another order without dairy, the main server goes ahead and calls his manager who tries convincing me that Chipotle sauce does NOT contain dairy at all (it's light orange and it HAS dairy , come on dude) !!! Then they reluctantly remade my order and made it look like they did me a huge favor. We had ordered only 2 vegetarian dishes and it took them 45 freaking minutes to bring it up, even though people who came AFTER us were served before us. The staff was extremely friendly with most customers but not us ,for no fault of ours. We had an extremely horrendous experience at El Torazo !

P.S. - The Vegan Flautas in your menu ARE NOT vegan - when you mention it has ''Cheese" and "mild creamy sauce" . Please correct that menu and change your...
