I wrote a Chipotle review the other day and ended up taking it down. I feel like I was trying to play into my sense of humor while also voicing that I was a bit miffed with Chipotle, but I feel like it really just came off rude, condescending, and disrespectful. So let’s start over. I love Chipotle. It literally always sounds good, I always crave it, and I could probably eat it everyday. It’s because of this love for Chipotle that when I’m so excited to get my bowl and come home and eat, it’s soooooo upsetting when I realize it’s the wrong one. I will take accountability in the fact that, like many people probably do, I sometimes make my bowls named silly/funny names. I try to not be vulgar, but still a silly goose. Either way, when you’re ordering food and it’s dinner time, it’s so busy for the workers that I can imagine how easy it is to slip up and give someone the wrong food. This has unfortunately happened to me multiple times and I think that’s why I was so frustrated. It also is frustrating because, as I said in my previous review, the workers don’t apologize. I know it seems like a small thing, but at the very very least I’d like for someone to be like “oh I’m so sorry, we will make it right now for you”. Again, I’m not demanding free stuff because that’s just unfair, but it’s frustrating!! All this to say, Chipotle I still love you, I didn’t mean to say your red hot salsa was inedible in the sense that it was gross, it’s just too hot for me…. And also please bring the Brisket back it’s literally life...

Read moreUp until a few months ago I loved Chiplote and would eat it far too often. Suddenly, this location took a nose dive. The portion sizes are ACTUALLY HALF. The quality is so bad I take just a few bites and toss it. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, but the bad experience happened a second and third time. The food doesn’t fill the bowl. It’s bland and dry. I’m more disappointed in myself for not learning my lesson the second time time as this last trip was dreadful. My steak bowl had MAYBE nine pieces of chewy flavorless meat. The cheese was placed in one small spot. The whole thing tasted like hot sauce (not salsa, actual hot sauce) for no apparent reason. The other bowl with my order had queso, but you couldn’t even tell as the worker ran out and just thought a quarter size was good enough. Needless to say, we only lasted a few bites. Normally I wouldn’t complain, it’s fast food, I get it. For $20+ though, I feel scammed.
As an aside, on a previous trip here a patron had asked for double meat. When the worker asked what meat I would want, and it was the same as the doubles-meat guy, he realized he didn’t have enough for both of us and actually took meat off his bowl and put it on mine! I couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it.
1/5, if only for the good times we had. I miss you Chiplote, I hope you get...
