Had the hibachi steak. Compared to the Sakura restaurant on Monroe, the rice and steak was ON POINT! perfect and tasted just like it. The only thing I wish they did was serve the same veggies that you get at the other location instead of cabbage. I ate some of the cabbage, it wasn't bad, but I was hoping for the zucchini, mushrooms, onions like they have at the other location. The price is great, too. Great service, the girl at the counter was very friendly and the place was immaculate.
Update: 8/14/15 Went again. Mentioned to the girl how I wanted the broccoli/carrot/onion type veggies instead of just straight cabbage like the first time I went. She showed me someone else's to-go container which had the good lookin' veggies in it. (Not just cabbage) I said "YES! thats what I want. Perfect" and ordered the hibachi steak again w/ fried rice & veggies. I got all the way back to work without checking the container.. open it up and it was JUST rice and meat. No veggies at all. Disappointed.
Update: 1/13/15 I've gone to this restaurant probably about 15 times now and it is so delicious. I even took my fiance here last weekend because I have become utterly addicted to it now. The cabbage/broccoli/carrot veggies are like crack....
Read morePlaced an order for 3 buckeye rolls with no tempura or crunch ontop online. (Done this numerous times where I select no tempura with no issue, and they just don’t add the stuff ontop) Came into the store got my order went back to the car and saw the receipt said no tempura but it was added ontop still. Showed to a worker inside and basically tried to gaslight me that I didn’t click something right on the site for ordering, showed her there’s only one button for removing tempura and that it hadn’t changed since I made any order before. Told me no refund initially then said she could do a store credit, no I want my money back for the 3 orders that were wrong. I mean think about it, I’m on the way back from work now the food is wrong, and I’m out of my money I spent. Told her I wasn’t interested in any credit if I couldn’t receive a refund for a clear mistake. Asked to speak to someone in charge and she said the woman behind her was the one who just told her to what to tell me. Pretty abysmal for customer service. Read moreI LOVE sushi. One of my best friends owns a sushi restaurant, I eat at this one hole in the wall around the corner from my house frequently, and I generally eat sushi on a regular basis. I’ve even eaten sushi from Kroger and Vince and Joe’s, in Michigan. I had the Chicken Teryaki and Spicy tuna roll at Sakura. Very dissatisfied, fried rice taste like wet dog, and was blah! Chicken was as dry as National Lampoons Christmas Vacation turkey scene portrayed, spicy tuny roll was just..... well, it looked like dog food, or spam, stuffed inside a rice wrapped piece of seaweed. My friend had California roll and beef something or other, Ive never seen him eat so slow and with so much caution...... in fact I cracked a joke about the speed at which we both attempted to consume this.......food? The best part about my visit here, aside from when I left, was the 20oz soda.
