I decided to check out this place based on all the buzz it's been receiving on social media. Located somewhat discreetly off Collins Avenue and 10th Street in Miami, it's connected to Essex House by Clevelander.
Upon arrival, I noticed a lovely outdoor area for the restaurant, which was quite spacious and tastefully decorated. The standout feature was undoubtedly the massive Bacon B*tch logo against the wall, surrounded by lush greenery and leaves.
However, I have to say that the place was way more crowded than I had anticipated. When I inquired with the hostess, she assured me there was no wait time, and for a Saturday morning, it wasn't considered particularly busy. But to my surprise, everyone seemed to be jostling for space, both inside while placing orders and outside to secure tables. There was even a considerable line extending inside the restaurant. It's worth noting that there is no indoor seating available, and this caused some congestion.
Another aspect that was a bit frustrating was that you could only place takeout orders indoors and not at the front desk with the other staff outside. This was particularly inconvenient for those who wanted a quick grab-and-go option.
Despite the initial chaos, I decided to brave the crowds and head inside. Once at the counter, I encountered difficulty hearing the staff member taking orders due to the noise and commotion. I was handed a menu, but it was challenging to peruse it properly because of the crowded conditions. In the end, I placed my order somewhat reluctantly, and it took a rather lengthy 20-25 minutes to be ready.
I ordered what I thought was a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, but I realized it was a chicken bacon sandwich when I got to my car, several blocks away. At that point, I didn't want to navigate my way back through the crowd just to exchange it, so I went with it. Unfortunately, the chicken and bacon turned out to be quite chewy, the bread was average, and it had honey mustard, which isn't my favorite. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the sandwich, especially considering its price point at $15.39. In my opinion, it wasn't a good value for money, even in Miami.
I might consider returning, but it would definitely be on a less crowded weekday when I can take my time to carefully...
Read moreTerrible do not go everything is outside. You wait at the hostess stand forever while the host is flirting with every guy she walks by. Made a reservation for 12:45 nobody talked to us at the hostess stand til 1:15 there were a group of girls in front of us who had a reservation after ours they have you wait in a bar area where you are packed in like sardines (we waited in for 1hour 38 min) while waiting I watched everyone around me get seated til I was the only person left in the bar not even the cooks or bartender in there. I watched people walk in the door after that and get seated straight away we asked two employees why we were skipped over and how much longer and they ignored us until finally we walked out. When walking out the hostess then decided to address me and ask where I was going when I went to pull up my reservation to show her how long I had been waiting she had went and canceled it. Then when I asked her why we were never waited on offered a drink or acknowledged she shrugged her shoulders scrunched up her face and said oh well. I came on vacation was so excited was ready to spend money and buy merch but they refused to even Acknowledge I was there. Also we were the only white people in the whole place everyone made funny faces at us scrunched up their nose and bumped us around and didn’t even talk back when asking for help or what was going on I’ve never been discriminated like this before but never thought it would happen like this especially on vacation. When asked for a manager or someone else the hostess just walked off and went back to flirting with guys. I drove 30 hours for this experience and this is what I received. No customer service doesn’t know how to treat people rude racist doesn’t care about customers no as advertised no inside seating false advertising in the online pictures if I could give negative...

I try to stay away from SOBE because most places are overpriced for subpar food. Rather go to Wynwood, Brickell or Bal Harbour Shops... but was excited to take my friend for their birthday, who is a bacon lover. I AGREE this is WAAAAY OVERHYPED. We got through most of our meal, when much to our HORROR we noticed the rat crawling above, TOO BAD it was after we were nearly done with our meal, otherwise would have ran out. Tried to get our waitress, to point it out but by the time she showed, it scurried off. Apparently I'm not the ONLY Patron that had this issue with the RATS. I was seriously embarrassed. Taking out a friend for a birthday brunch and to see a Rat RUINED THE WHOLE CELEBRATORY EXPERIENCE. SUPER DISSAPOINTING!! EVERY dish we ordered was bleh, Bacon was cold and tasted like it was pre-cooked (old grease) Later that day, I had terrible stomach pain and diarrhea and my friend got sick on the ride home, had to pull over so he could vomit. This is NOT THE WAY I wanted to celebrate my friends BIRTHDAY. FOOD POISONING IS NOT COOL. APPARENTLY FOOD SAFETY is NOT being practiced. Pre cooked bacon tempuratures or storage MUST NOT be properly regulated. NEVER going back and my friend was so sick for days after this. I FELT...
