On Saturday 10/27/2018 at 2:09 pm we arrived at south beach to attend a friends Birthday party, several other people attended and used the pelican garage for parking. Outside the Garage the sign says 30 dollars for parking, we have several witnesses saying they saw the same sign. The party ended around 2:00 am in the morning and one by one as we left the Garage a group of three men were taking a long time talking to the people in the cars exiting in front of us, and I remember thinking what was the hold up? It turns out everyone was complaining about the large 90-dollar bill they received when exiting. The men working there stated that they apologize for the inconvenience and that they “needed to change the sign” and that the parking was 30 dollars every 5 hours… They know the majority of people who see that sign don’t know that 30 dollars is not the flat rate! We tried to dispute the charge but they did not budge they said if we have “60 dollars cash” they will take that instead. Which we did not so we paid the 90 dollars. The next day I called to see if they can issue some sort of refund or discount and the declined, they said to call the bank and dispute it with them.

I checked their reviews and nearly 100 people have complained about the same thing, they know they are robbing people. They will be on an episode of American Greed...

Never park at pelican parking on 1041 Collins avenue, Miami Beach THEY ARE SCAMMERS, it’s a worst place I park in all my life . It’s was so dirty, smell urine. The March 16,2019 I went to the beach in Miami with my husband we arrive at 1pm in the afternoon and around 430pm we went back at the parking and talk we the guy who work there to ask him if we leave later the same day if it’s was the same price and he told us yes.

Instead to leave with the car and go to Lincoln road very close by, we decided to go by walk . When we came back at 1000pm the same day

For 10 hours they charge us 120.00 we was very upset of that. The guy who was there at 430 pm and told us it’s the same price. Say to us he never told you that. They change the panel with the rate and the rules anytime. I hope everybody who park there and get stole like us do a complaint and lose their permit to operate their business and to do wrong. Please call the city to do complaint...

The price you see posted outside is the rate per 5 hours. Meaning they charge per 5 hours increments. Don't park here if you're not planning on staying the full 5 hours cuz you'll be paying a lot. I paid 40 bucks for about 3.5 hours, and by the time I came back the sign had been changed to $60/5hours. Just make sure you understand that before entering the parking lot. I had to park here cuz there were no other places to park, I'd only adivse you coming here if you absolutely have to park in this area and can't find parking else where.
