La Cañita Bayside — Restaurant in Miami

We decided to make our evening extra special by attending a Heat game and enjoying a romantic date night. Ordered Lechon Asado and the highlight of our dining experience was the Picadillo de Carne, which was an absolute delight with its perfectly seasoned ground beef and aromatic spices. What truly set the tone for our evening was the ambiance of the restaurant. The live music added a charming touch to the atmosphere and elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. The soothing melodies provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening, making it an ideal spot for a date night. The dim lighting, combined with the live music, created an intimate and cozy setting, perfect for couples looking to enjoy a special evening together. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a romantic escape, this restaurant offers the perfect setting. I highly recommend trying the Picadillo de Carne. However, I would advise arriving at the restaurant in advance, especially if you're planning to visit on a game night as there may be a wait.

I visited this restaurant with my partner on a Sunday, having heard positive things about its ambiance for a couples’ night out. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations.

Upon arrival, we were not greeted, and instead, we were asked to provide a name and wait at the bar, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. This felt unnecessary, and I briefly considered leaving but decided to stay in the interest of experiencing the full visit.

Unfortunately, the service only worsened from there. Our server seemed distant and unprofessional, offering no check-ins throughout the meal and never asking if our food was to our liking. To make matters worse, she handed us the check abruptly without any courteous interaction, leaving a very negative impression. I understand that everyone can have off days, but the treatment felt dismissive and impersonal.

While the food itself was quite good, the poor service overshadowed the meal. As a customer, I believe it’s important to be treated with respect, and this experience fell short in that regard. I hope the restaurant considers this feedback and prioritizes improving customer service...

Me and my boyfriend just had an amazing experience and one of the most loveliest dates. The atmosphere is impeccable, makes you feel like home as soon as you step inside. The interior is so cozy in the main part and on the patio, with warming live music and friendly faces everywhere. Seemed like everyone in the restaurant was having amazing time. Cocktails and food.. well I don’t know how to spell that sound that you make when you taste something absolutely delicious but you get the idea🤤 everything we ordered was better than we expected. We are big fans of La Trova on Calle 8 and were so excited to visit La Cañita since it is the same ownership. Well, they definitely haven’t lost the groove over here and made it a worthy destination that stands out from all of the sophisticated Miami restaurants.
