Vegan Planet — Restaurant in Miami

I'm writing this review just 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant, because I'm still buzzing with excitement! This was my family's first time here. We're all Italian and vegan. Just by reading the menu, we noticed that 98% of the dishes were Italian, which made us feel right at home. Italian food is the best in the world, and being able to order it vegan was an amazing surprise. The waitress was extremely kind and friendly. From the moment we walked in, she was cordial in answering my question about parking, and throughout the evening, she was attentive, kind, and professional. We received our dishes very quickly. We loved every course, and the presentation was great too: the big plates for the main courses, the steak knives, and the generous portions! In fact, the waitress had warned us with great honesty to order fewer dishes than we originally planned, because the portions are very generous. The restaurant is located in Downtown Miami in a prestigious area, and the interior is very nice, spacious, welcoming, and elegant. There were fresh cut flowers on the table, and soft bread served fresh in slices, just like in Italy! The food was very tasty and truly reflected the Italian flavor. We ordered gnocchi, carbonara, scaloppine with lemon gravy, cutlets Milanese-style, and tiramisu. By the end of dinner, we were full and satisfied. I went here for a friend’s birthday the other night and immediately after we sat down the waitress told us that the owners charge 15$ for cutting and serving our own brought in cake? Because it’s “time wasted on washing dishes”? Yeah maybe like 5 minutes??? And we had told them it’s her birthday thinking they’ll bring in a small dessert with a candle or sparkler and sing her happy birthday… like any other place would. My fault for having high expectations for such a crappy restaurant. Then I had ordered the vegan gnocchi pesto pasta and it was extremely salted and i barely touched the plate when I asked if I could get something else for the same price (25$). Then the lady exclaimed that yes but, the owners might refund only partially of the first dish I ordered? Very weird when I left it practically untouched. She comes back quickly at least and hands me my new non vegan dish. She then proceeds to insert her unwanted opinion about how next time I shouldn’t order vegan dishes because they taste different than non-vegan ones??? I respectfully told her that I have tried good vegan food, this just wasn’t one of them. Not coming here ever again and I’d advise whoever is reading this to not...

I am in complete awe! The ambience of this restaurant was spectacular. From the decor, to the lighting to the positioning of the seat arrangement, vegan planet, truly gravitated my attention from the moment I Walked in .Once we took our seats and the food came out, I fell in love (exaggeration necessary). Being a Vegan, it’s a difficult at times to find a restaurant that can make sure the items that I order taste as good as it may look . I’m super excited to say that vegan planet, not only did they deliver, but they reached above and beyond my expectations. The Italian style, vegan food was chefs kiss! I had the pleasure of trying the “Spaghetti alla Carbonara” and the burst of flavor was mouth watering. I also tried the truffle fries , I wasn’t too big of a fan of the cut of the potatoes itself but nonetheless the taste made up for it . Lastly I tried the “Pizza Marinara” which was flavorsome despite how plain it came . Our server brought over some oregano and red chili sauce to give the pizza a slight kick and thats what was needed to take the taste over the top . Overall I had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back again . 10/10...
