Terrible experience at this place, On Wednesday 02/02/2022 at 7:30pm after having a lovely meal at St Paul’s we wanted to get some coffee. We stopped by since it was on our way out. The barista was in the corner chatting with someone obviously not working. She leaves the conversation and approaches the countertop. Proceeds to question us about not wearing masks and tells us that by company policy she cannot serve us coffee because we are not wearing masks. We told the young lady thank you and walked out. It’s just absurd to me that this is company policy, it’s absurd because there was a plastic shield between us, she was wearing a mask and the payment would’ve been done electronically. So she essentially was okay with approaching us not wearing masks but not serving us coffee. So it really makes me question the reasoning. Is it really in fear of Covid? ( she and I are most likely vaccinated).. is it laziness because it was near closing? Or was it just some mindless political narrative that they stand by? I think it’s just very disrespectful.

I would advise Anody to offer customers masks if they’re going to have such policy then maybe they won’t lose customers

I visited Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. Tuesday December 10th with my daughter at the Milwaukee Public Market, and I can confidently say it's a must-visit for coffee lovers! Perfect spot to grab and walk while you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.

One of the highlights of my visit was trying their fresh and fun seasonal lattes. Each one is crafted with creativity and flavor, but the standout for me was the baklava latte. It was absolutely amazing! The perfect blend of sweet and nutty flavors transported me to another world with each sip. I can’t recommend it enough!

The customer service at Anodyne is top-notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about coffee. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had. Their enthusiasm truly enhances the experience.

Went to the public market for a mid day pick me up at Anodyne. There was a couple in front of me in line that were unmasked. As they got to the front counter, one of the workers came up to them and (very politely) asked them if they had any masks to wear. The couple instantly got defensive (and a bit rude in my opinion) and while I couldn’t quite hear the conversation, I assumed that they said no. The young lady then stated that due to the city ordinance they have the right to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask. The couple huffed and walked away, obviously put out. It honestly made me feel like as a customer they were looking out for my safety and well being. I really do appreciate when businesses look out for not only their customers, but their workers by sticking to the mandate policies.
