My wife and I were craving Chinese food, and being from New Orleans, she's quite picky about where she gets her fix. She often compares places here to a beloved spot back in the Big Easy, setting the bar high. I have to say, No. 1 China has exceeded our expectations, especially since I moved here.
Whenever we order, my wife goes for the pepper steak with added shrimp, but this time I opted for the House Special King Lo Mein (H13 on the menu), which has become my new favorite. The convenience factor is also a plus - if you call in your order, the service is impressively quick. However, I'd note that if you walk in, be prepared for a slightly longer wait.
In terms of ambiance, No. 1 China may not win any awards for decor, but it's really the food that shines here. The best part is the consistency - we've never been disappointed with our meals. So, if you're on the hunt for delicious Chinese cuisine in town, I highly recommend making No. 1 China your go-to spot. It's certainly earned its place as...
Read moreI went with the other reviews when choosing this place and I so wanted to like it 😥 Maybe I just got my order on an off day... I tried a bite of the chicken eggroll first and it had a rancid taste to it, I set that aside and tried the crab rangoon (didn't care for that), next I tried the sesame chicken 😍 loved the taste of that, the rice was alright. I ordered the chicken fried rice but had bits of shrimp mixed in. Even though I didn't care too much for what was ordered, the sesame chicken partly made up for it. They give you lots of food for the price so with what was leftover I planned to split with my daughter the next night! However, soon after eating I was in the bathroom. I figured my stomach may not of agreed with the food, stomach cramps and 3 trips later I knew something was wrong and ended up throwing the food out. Suffice it to say, No 1 Chinese ended up being a No 2 for me, thank God...
Read moreI was crushed after 6 months of recovery and I tried to go to the Jonesboro location, only to see a closed sign. Making matter worse, they left no relocation address. When my daughter sent me a link with the text, this is your spot, I initially didn't want to get my hopes to high. So I went there and saw my friend and he screamed my name, I was elated. This is by far the BEST Chinese food with AUTHENTIC, Bronx New York, Ogden Ave, flavor but no fried apple sticks on the menu :( The prices are great about $$ with each dollar sign representing $5 dollars and the food is always fresh and HOT. When I say hot, I purchased wings and it is a 20 minute drive home and I took a shower and still the wings was still "ssssmokin" (In my Jim Carrey, the MASK voice). The only problem is on my way home from work I pass them M - F and I can't stop my car from turning into...
