I am leaving this review due to a bad experience I had with a customer service receptionist named "B". I have been coming to beauty master (about three locations) for years now and I am also a rewards member. On 04/24/2024 I purchased some black flare jeans and realized I grabbed the wrong size, I returned an hour later and asked "B" a really heavy-set Hispanic girl who was eating hot Cheetos at the front, if I could exchange the jeans for a smaller size. She was not friendly, she actually seemed irritated that someone approached her register and was just rude about the whole thing. I understood that it was the stores policy not to accept any return/ exchanges on black items, but it would have been nice to see an employee at least act like they cared and put in the effort to ask their manager or just be KIND. I left that store and went straight to the Beauty master on highway 85 and they were so nice!! The guy told me "We usually don't return or exchange on items like this but since you got it an hour ago and nothing is wrong with it, we will exchange it for you". I was so grateful not because they exchanged it for me but because they were actually nice and did their best to help. WHICH IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SUPPOSED TO BE. The only thing was the store on 85 did not have the black jeans in the size I wanted. So, I got the pink pants and returned to the beauty master on Morrow to exchange the pink pants for the black jeans I originally wanted to get, plus the store is down the street for me so I had no problem going right back! "B" was at the customer service register, eating, once again. She seemed irritated AGAIN and had a bad body language and energy. While she was working on the exchange, I stood there quietly waiting and all of the sudden she had the nerve to say, "next time make sure your vehicle doesn't smell like smoke" (which was random and not true). She began spaying the pants down in front of me with some kind of cheap spray not being aware or being smart enough to be cautious around customers who could be allergic, making it a liability for the store.
I usually don't even leave reviews, but this needed to be addressed. People who may not have a happy life or are just miserable in general shouldn't work in customer service or have a lot of interaction with customers because they will project their misery onto others just like this "B" person (not sure if she even gave me the right name). I won't be back to this store. They can thank her for running a loyal...
Read moreBEWARE OF CLOTHING STORE RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY and EXTREME RACISM!! If I could give this Beauty Master a negative one rating, I would. Workers (Asian descent) in clothing store will tell you that certain clothes are returnable and/or exchangeable, but once you go to customer service with your returns and/or exchange, racist Asian descent store owner and both Asian and Hispanic descent workers will tell you that your clothing item is not returnable or exchangeable, when you try to return and/or exchange clothing. This then makes the customer go back and purchase yet more clothing or the right size, costing you more money. I am aware of the clothing store policy, (I was there three days in a row with my sister shopping for something to wear to a planned event) and I also understand that there’s no dressing room on site. The Hispanic and Asian workers sit on their walkie-talkies, laughing and talking badly about the black customers in their native languages, while the workers of African American descent are very friendly, hard working, polite, honest and very professional. The rudeness and evident racial bias and arrogance that most of the Asian and Hispanic descent workers gives off is disgusting and unacceptable. Save your money and go to one of the MANY beauty supply stores in Georgia (Tara Blvd has a really nice new beauty supply store with far more better prices and greater quality that has just opened) and/or order your clothing on Shein or Temu, since the clothing that is inside of this Beauty Master is pretty much the same and much more affordable. I am planning on reporting this location to corporate immediately in hopes of getting a new store owner that actually relates to their predominantly black female customers and refrain from patronizing this establishment moving forward. Inflation is everywhere, but black women make up the vast majority of contributions that generate this poor economy, especially beauty supply stores. We should not give our hard earn money to those businesses that do not respect our race nor do they care to satisfy or have integrity with dealing with the African American customers that are the main reason why their business thrives the way it does, in the first place! SUPPORT BLACK OWN BUSINESSES! Stop giving our money to establishments such as this one, that are already stereotyping us the moment we enter the building and truly aren’t for us nor do they like or want to...
Read moreBeware, potentially stealing customers money at register! The cashier here had me put my credit card in twice, claiming it didn't go through for $181.92. I was charged $181.92 twice. I came back to get my money back. I show the General Manager Lucein Poko my receipt, email from Capital One, indicating I was inaccurately charged $181.92 twice, and my credit card statement indicating I was charged twice. Mind you the receipt includes multiple items purchased equaling $182.92. Mr. Poko is very unapologetic treats me like I’m a criminal as if I made up some fake Beauty Master receipt and credit card statements that clearly show two charges from Beauty Master Morrow, calls IT to verify the purchases happened despite the clear documentation showing it happened. Him verifying was fine but he really was treating me like I just made this up, questioning if he's going to give me my money back. After waiting around and him verifying I wasn't trying to steal $181.92, I just wanted my money back, he asks if I want a store credit or put it back on my credit card. I said I want my money back on credit card of course not giving my money back is stealing! He also said that never happened before, probably customers never noticed if the amount was smaller, I’m glad I received notice from the bank. I highly believe the abundance of documentation needed and unapologetic behavior and presuming I would take time out of my day to fake being overcharged exactly $181.92 is because I’m a black women. I will not come back here again & that's why I can't stand beauty supply stores, the black woman that frequent are followed around and treated like criminals all while taking our...
