So I just got a call from the store manager and she is going to refund my order. She admitted that it shouldn’t have taken that long to get the order and said that she never thought how door dash would be interpreted by the receiver. She said she would let customers know in the future when they use door dash. (She explained they do that when their drivers are overwhelmed). I told her I just wanted her to know because when people know better they do better. She agreed and offered to refund my money. Way to handle the complaint! *
Today I am unimpressed with Papa John's Pizza store number 321 on S King’s Hwy in Myrtle Beach. At 9:12 we ordered one pepperoni pizza. I got an email saying 65 minute wait for delivery. At 10:30 we had no pizza so I called the store. I got a message saying the store was closed. I checked the app, and it showed the order I was waiting for as a past order. 🤔 My card had been charged, including the 25% tip. Checked reviews and several folks said they never got their order. I sent my 9 year old to bed after eating leftover Krispy Kreme. He was bummed (and hungry!)
At 10:32 I got a text from Doordash (AL number...so not local). He knew our name and that we ordered from Papa Johns. Made my husband come outside to meet him in front of the lobby.
I’ll be honest, I thought someone was luring him out to rob or abduct him! I’ve never heard of a pizza delivery using another service to deliver without letting you know!

Read moreThis was our very first visit to Myrtle Beach, Sunday night. Got in around 9:30 and checked into our hotel the Compass Cove. We had been driving all day from Orlando on our way back to Ohio so we were exhausted. We went down to the beach and we're headed back to the room approx 11:10 when we seen 2 pizza delivery drivers from other companies arriving at the hotel and 1 coming out of the elevator after making a delivery so my husband approached the driver in his car and asked when they delivered until. He told him midnight and handed him a card with the number and some coupons. We went up to the room and placed an order approx 11:15. The guy that answered the phone was a JERK and NOT helpful and told my husband that it would be about and hour to an hour and 15 minutes and hung up on him. We only ordered 2 simple large pizzas. Nothing crazy! So we sat waiting. To the point that 2 of our 3 kids fell asleep and then my husband and I fell asleep around 1230-1245. I woke up approx 1:10 and they still hadn't arrived. So my husband called them and they told him that they have had no orders for that hotel at all tonight which was a flat out lie because we got the card from their driver when he was leaving after making a delivery 2 hours prior and then said well they are closed so too bad there was nothing they could do. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBlE! So we went to bed and nothing to eat after driving all day and visiting the area for the first time. Read moreIf i could give less than one star i would. Ordered BBQ wings. Delivered and was not BBQ but was Buffalo. Called and no one answered it just rang. Wife tried calling and finally spoke with someone who said he was a manager. I spoke with him and he put me on hold and then hung up on me. Called back. Told me he was out of wings. Told him i didn't care just send something my kids would eat because they can't eat buffalo because it is too spicy. Said he would give me a gift card and to come get it. Told him i did delivery for a reason i am not coming to get it. If he is going to deliver a gift card he can deliver food. Said he only has two delivery drivers. Told him they (the store) are the ones who messed up the order that i am not driving up there. He hung up on me again. Called a third time and spoke to Chris because so called manager would answer the phone. Told Chris if i got hung up on again i would be showing up in person and would not end well for the manager. He put this so called manager on the phone again. Told me he didn't hang up on me. Replied why did i call back and on a different phone. He replied he had customers in the store to deal with. Said he would TRY to send 15 poppers in BBQ in its place. Said that is fine i just wanted something my kids would eat. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING FOR MY KIDS TO EAT.
