I came in today to celebrate my birthday with my family for a fun and enjoyable experience and that is the last thing I was given. I came in 10 minutes before my reservation. Everything started off well but ended up horrible. We got our shakes in a timely manner but everything after that fell off. There was a two top that was sat 15 minutes after us and received their foot 10 minutes before us after we ordered 10 minutes before them arriving it proceeded with the waitress lying to us about talking with the manager about our outrageous wait time. When the manager came over 15 minutes after we received our food because I requested to speak with someone he proceeded to say he wasn’t notified about being spoke. To about our concerns even tho the waitress said she spoke with him. I addressed my concerns to him and my frustrations and he just kept having excuses and cutting me off as I was addressing my concerns. Then the head chef came out about 5 min after and asked what was the issue. I told him about our experience and he justified the long wait time by saying a well done burger takes 30 minutes to cook. With all this in mind I am a chef down the street and we serve well done steaks within 16 min. The waitress followed up at the end with coming back to the table and the head chef came back and was made that I was frustrated about the whole experience. He ended with telling me get out pay your bill and don’t come back. I have been in the hospitality industry for 12 years and this is the worse experience I have ever had. The servers name was jailen the head chef was Danny who was the one who had the worst attitude and told me to leave and don’t come back and Eric was the front of house manager/expo who told me he was never addressed with the concerns. I will be letting all who ask me about this place to not come and waist their hard earned money and time in a play that don’t put customer experience over profit...
Read moreRight off the "strip" this restaurant is the perfect place to go for good food and no crowds. Only a block over from Broadway, so you can stay close to everything, but somehow far enough away to avoid the crowds and mediocre food from the big places. It has a very inviting ambiance to it and impeccable service, every aspect of the experience exudes excellence. However, it's the culinary offerings that truly steal the spotlight. The chicken sandwich at Black Tap is nothing short of extraordinary. Crispy on the outside, yet tender and succulent on the inside, each bite is a symphony of flavors and textures. The perfectly seasoned chicken is accompanied by hot chili oil and black garlic, with pickles and an aioli. It's a masterpiece that leaves taste buds dancing with delight. This is easily the most flavorful thing I have ever tasted. Equally impressive is their burger, a towering creation that's as visually stunning as it is delicious. The juicy beef patty is cooked to perfection, boasting a charred exterior that locks in its natural juices. Topped with melted cheese, a large onion ring, crisp bacon, and a tangy barbecue sauce, every bite is a revelation. Both the chicken sandwich and burger showcase the culinary prowess of the chefs and the commitment to using only the finest, locally sourced ingredients. It's no wonder this restaurant has earned its reputation as a culinary gem...
Read moreNot the best experience at Black Tap. I was super impressed with the menu when this place first opened but I've been back recently and many of the best menu items have been removed unfortunately. The pizza burger for sure was my favorite but it's gone now. Perhaps it was for the best my partner got the Cali chicken sandwich and the chicken was over cooked and under seasoned. The sandwich was very sloppy/messy and hard to eat way too much aioli and the bun was cold. I got the blackbtap hot chicken sandwich and it was juicy and perfectly seasoned but horribly small maybe 4 or 4.5 oz. Also they forgot parsley which most people wouldn't even notice but yall know I'm a self proclaimed "extreme foodie". I did also order the teriyaki broccoli which i do recommend especially if you add chili oil to it. Also, we checked in on the cheerwine old fashioned and it was very disappointing, and the molded block ice tasted like a freezer, and thus, the entire cocktail tasted like a freezer. All in all, I would say this spot has fallen quite a ways from where it was when it first opened. I can't recomend this spot over places like pharmacy burger, burger company, hododdy, jack browns or burger republic but if you've been to all those places (we can throw huhg baby's and the stillery in there too) then give Black tap a shot. You won't find a more expensive and less fulfilling burger anywhere else...
