Visited this place with my foodie friend group. We go every two weeks out to eatโฆ. Hereโs why we wonโt be backโฆ
We were excited by the menu images and the absolute BOSS looking signature shakes. Very excited about the use of BlueBell ice cream!
We entered the building around an hour before close and there was a large group ahead of us of about 8-9 people. We waited while discussing the menu and then noticed the prices. Red flag #1. $18 for an 8oz milkshake and $19 for a 16oz milkshake. Whoa. Crazy. But as a nashville native born and raised, Iโm use to the price gouging in Nashville. We all collectively agreed โitโs for the experienceโ. So we picked out the ones we wanted and waited for our turn to order. We all placed our orders, they asked here or to go, and we said here. We wanted the experience of that glass jar with all the yummy goodness on it of course! So then we waited.
The group ahead of us received half glass jars and half Togo cups.
The first one arrivedโฆ. Incorrect. Was sent back to be fixed. But it didnโt arrive in a glass jar, so we assumed it was because she did a build your own and not a signature. The next was a double scoop cone, it was good! (The only good thing about this visit). Then mine arrivedโฆ also stuffed into a Togo cupโฆ and then the last one arrived also stuffed into a Togo cup. I asked the girl bringing it and she said โoh I could remake it in the glass jar if you wantedโ. I simply saidโฆ why did he ask here or Togo if our only option was Togo? She said it was close to closing time (30mins left till closing) and that they were putting everyoneโs onto Togo cups. I find this absurd. Doing the nightly dishes is apart of having a job. A $20 milkshake was already steep but then to not serve it how it is expected on top of that and ruin the experience of the whole point of the shake shop was enough for me to realizeโฆ they want money not customers. As well as, The tables were not cleaned properly. A young man was cleaning the tables but only clearing dishes and haphazardly wiping tables. Chairs/tables/floors covered in ice cream and sauces. The bathrooms destroyed as well and it was not busy for the amount of staff on duty. Less than 20 people inside and over 3/4 already had their milkshakes. Two of the employees were openly protesting and being negative in customer view. I even made the comment outloud โsomeone doesnโt want to be hereโ and the cashier just smiled in agreement. As a native that lives, sleep, eats, breathe nashville foodie places. We will not...
ย ย ย Read moreIF YOU GO HERE FOR A MILKSHAKE YOU BETTER VISIT THE ATM FIRST BECAUSE ITS 30 freaking dollars for 2 milkshakes. YUP 15 FOR 1 And That is the Togo price! It's 5$ higher inside ! Yup 20 Bucks for 1 Unbelievable!! The owner has replied in other posts to people dissatisfied with the huge shake prices that because the QUANTITY IS SO LARGE. Really? I got my 2 shakes to go in a normal Togo cup that were 3oz. Short of 16. So where is all this food??? Large quantity? THEY ARE NOT EVEN VERY BIG . 16 Oz.... A McDonald's is bigger by 8 oz. Cheaper by 10 dollars.... Really a milkshake bigger than this fifteen dollar one is ten dollars cheaper!! 10 $ Bwahaha..... I pulled Into the parking garage close to the business and sent my nephew in to get a vanilla malt and a vanilla shake. To my Unbelievable surprise they charged 14 each plus tax so well over 30 dollars and the was only 85% in the cups . At that break neck price I wanted that cup FULL! The malt was so undetected I switched with my nephew thinking I got his plain vanilla. NO he couldn't tell the difference either! 15 bucks for a milkshakes would be embarrassing as a shop owner , i wouldn't sleep well knowing i was working a 300% profit margin. but greed has no cooth . Complete greed. this place probably has very very skinny days compared to what it could be with huge price slashing god knows there is plenty to cut and still receive a very good bottom line at the end of the day. What this place needs to learn is lower reasonable prices equals a huge increase of RETURNING customers which means more productivity which means $$$$ alot better days at closing . Myself and many that didn't bother to comment will NOT be back. Taste and service fine. But that is half the battle.... work on those prices and watch your bottom line climb. Trust me... If I hadn't sent my nephew in I would have walked out! I would have also left this comment to warn those that work very hard for thier money. To look at the prices before you order... My goodness what an opportunity for a very very successful off the rails milkshake shak!!! Just imagine ๐ณ ....
ย ย ย Read moreWe went here because we wanted a good milkshake but it was good only on couple of points.
First the creativity of the milkshakes is cool and second the ice cream was good. Now the bad.
Even though they have these creative milkshakes, it is way to many added ingredients in ratio to the actual ice cream. I got the banana split and it had two whole bananas, a bunch of whip cream, strawberry and chocolate sauce and it came with peanuts but I told them to hold the peanuts. The whole combo was good but barely any milkshake. It looks like you will be getting a lot of milkshake/ice cream or at least a decent amount but in that 12oz jar/cup only probably 4oz of it is milkshake, the rest is the bananas, whip cream and whatever other ingredient your particular milkshake comes with. It is definitely not worth half the price and itโs a shame that they are ripping people off with the advertisement of a delicious milkshake but in fact you are getting just fruit, candy and/or some other type of sundae toppings more so than a milkshake. Youโre better off going to a regular ice cream place and getting some ice cream and taking it home and adding your own toppings. The cost was like $16or more for one small shake.
After the milkshake of it was gone I couldโve used the leftover ingredients, the bananas, whip cream and sauces to make at least two more larger milkshakes. I just threw away the left over ingredients because there was no ice cream to eat with it so it would have been just eating sugar with fruit. Disappointing and I do t...
