Brugada Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Probably the worst dinning experience I have had in a while. We had dinner reservations on April 27th at 8:30pm for my wife's birthday celebration as we were a group of 7 from Toronto spending the weekend there. We got there earlier and hostess seemed really frantic saying they are behind and packed - we see an empty tables. She pushed our reservations back to 9pm - no problem, we a group of 7, say no problem and just go down the road to a bar and have drinks; we couldn't to go their bar b/c they were also under staffed and they had folks waiting at the bar to be seated. We get back for 9pm - she says she will likely need to push back us to now 9:30pm. If it wasn't for our group relaying on this reservation on a Saturday for my wife's birthday, we would have just left. She begrudgingly made "space" for us and sat us down at a larger table they had just cleaned off saying there was a group there occupying this 5pm. Still, at this point, a few empty tables. We overhear folks leaving as we are being seated that their food took over an 2hrs. We get all get a sinking feeling but at this point it's either fast food or go with this for my wife's 40th bday :/. Suffice to say most the table order pizza; our friends pizza was severely burned but waitress still served; I assume she was just trying to keep up as she was also managing the bar. I ordered the steak - medium rare; it came out blue like they seared on each side and sent out as quickly as they could. Now I understand that you maybe under staffed and/or situations come up, however serving burn pizza and sending out food that is severely under cook is ridiculous. When I sent back my steak; they just over cooked the same steak this time to nice well done instead ;). At this point, we just ate our food and made the best of the situation and focus on our next reservations to a piano bar that we had to move b/c of timing situation here. I’m a local and wanted to try something new for my boyfriends birthday. This restaurant popped up on open table and after looking at their menu I was intrigued so I booked a reservation for 4. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Our server was sweet and attentive at first. We ordered bloody marys, which were amazing, and then ordered our food. I had high hopes for this place, but was EXTREMELY let down. After getting our first round of drinks and coffee, our server never checked back in with us, especially after our drinks were empty. We waited about 45 minutes for our food before having to flag down our server and ask what the status was on it. She was flustered, and said she was wondering too and was going to go and check. A couple minutes after she went to the kitchen our food came out. We ordered another round of drinks when the food hit the table and we never got those until our plates were empty and we had to ask for the check. The food was EXTREMELY disappointing. It tasted like it had sat for way too long - cold and dry. Our sever never came to check on the food after we started eating as well as never refilled waters or coffee. The manager came to apologize, which we appreciated, but did nothing to relieve how disappointed we were or to make up for the fact that the food came out super late and mildly cold. Ended up paying over $90 for something I could had paid $20 to make at home and would had tasted 1000x better. Possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I went with a group of 7, we had a reservation and when we first tried to check in the host seemed to not have a clue of what to do. My party and I waited a good 10 minutes for water, and then about 20 minutes to get our order taken. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times and there were still errors with most of our food when it came out. Our drinks came out after our food and i had to wait an extra 10 minutes to receive my mimosa. About 20 minutes after we all finished our meals our waiter came to ask us if we needed anything else and we asked for the checks and had to wait her 20 minutes for him to get them for us. We tried to immediately hand him our cards to pay but he just shoved them at one of the girls in my party and scurried off. We then had to wait another 15-20 minutes for him to come get our checks. The restaurant was not very busy at this time so we were confused. I also noticed that the parties next to us were having the same issues, i even noticed one of them had to go up to the bar to ask for a water refill.
