🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 "Category 10 isn't just a name—it's the scale Elijah operates on."
From the moment I set foot in this atmospheric gem in Nashville, Elijah welcomed me with the kind of warmth that could convince an arctic explorer to shed their parka. A smile that said, "You're in for an experience," was the first of many gestures that proved this man isn't just a server—he's an orchestrator of vibes, a maestro of hospitality.
I decided to test his resolve with a gauntlet of requests, starting with a seating preference. "Somewhere shadowy but alive," I mused cryptically. Elijah's eyes twinkled as he led me to a table that was bathed in the perfect interplay of candlelight and neon—a veritable chiaroscuro of ambiance. Touché, Elijah.
My next whim was an obscure cocktail recommendation. "Something that feels like Hemingway debating with a modern mixologist." Unfazed, Elijah returned moments later with a concoction he dubbed 'The Old Man and the Spritz'—a poetic swirl of rum, citrus bitters, and a whisper of absinthe. A drink that truly told a story. Bravo.
Feeling emboldened, I escalated with a peculiar food pairing. "How about something crispy to match the drink’s undertones, but also paradoxical in texture?" Without missing a beat, Elijah liaised with the kitchen, and out came artisanal crispy chicken wings dusted with smoked paprika—a food symphony. Was he reading my mind?
By the end of the evening, it was clear: Elijah is not just a server. He's an artist in the medium of moments, crafting evenings that linger in the mind like a favorite melody. If Category 10 is the storm, Elijah is its calm center, ensuring everything swirls...
Read moreWent to check out a show here (on the top floor) as a local who doesn’t like Broadway vibes. Pin drop quiet atmosphere on the top floor with great views. Staff was great. Place is very nice. One of the best views of the river/stadium/bridges in town on the top floor. My only critique was the food options. Like, this is a 4-5 floor facility so I assumed they would offer some basic food available at the concert. They had a QR code menu on the tables. I browsed the menu, went to ask bartender where to order the food as I didn’t see servers, and they could not take my food order at the bar, and pointed me to go around the corner where there was a “concession stand.” Had to awkwardly walk kinda across the whole seated crowd and the stage/performers to order food at the security checkpoint kind of thing that was unmarked. They only were offering 3 options that were verbally communicated, (one of them was described as “ritz crackers with pimento cheese dip”…?!) - Not the full menu. On a Friday night. Hm. So, $23.44 later, (with tip, menu price was $17 I think?), I got the pepperoni/cheese fried rolls from the closet door concession stand, and there were only three little spring rolls in the basket. Felt like I massively overpaid for some pizza rolls after splitting the with my wife, ngl. For brands as big as Ryman Hospitality and Luke Combs, like, can we not have some better food options for a 6 o’clock doors, 7-10pm show!? I get you probably don’t sell a lot, scaled it back, but like, some chicken tenders and fries for $15 would go a long way I feel. :) My only complaint. Will be back and eat...
Read moreWe came here for lunch after a fun morning of line dancing downstairs, celebrating my sister’s bachelorette with a group of 11 women — and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing.
From the start, our table was split between two different servers, which caused constant confusion. Orders were wrong or missing altogether. We ordered a second round of drinks for the entire table, but only a few of us received them. One guest never got her salad at all and was left without a meal.
When we asked to speak with a manager, Evan came over — and instead of addressing the issue professionally, he was dismissive and rude. Rather than fixing the missing drink orders, he accused us of having too much to drink and threatened to have security escort us out. This was completely uncalled for — it was lunchtime, we had just come from dancing, and we’d only had one round of drinks. His assumption seemed solely based on the fact that we were a bachelorette party.
We calmly tried to explain the situation, but there was no accountability or apology for the mistakes — just stereotyping and poor treatment. It’s unacceptable to be treated like this, especially during a special occasion.
We left feeling disrespected and disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re a group celebrating something. Management, especially Evan, turned what should’ve been a joyful lunch into a frustrating and...
