Myself and a group of coworkers have tried this place several times and every time is more disappointing than the last. The service is very slow and every time we've come they bring the orders out separately so you either start eating without everyone or wait for the rest of the table while your food gets cold.
The first time we went, I ordered the crispy catfish with spicy mango salad. If you look at the online menu it shows a picture of the dish but the inhouse menu does not. Had I seen the picture, I definitely wouldn't have ordered this. For $17.00 you get a piece of fish on some iceberg lettuce. The mango "salad" was not in fact a salad but more like a small portion of mango salsa rather than a salad. I will say the fish was very tasty but I was highly disappointed that this was not in fact a salad and more of an appetizer.
The next time our group tried Good Catch one of the people at our table found a hair in her pad see ew. When she told the server about it the server just took the dish away and never communicated what was happening. After some time had passed we had to call the waitress over and clarify that they were in fact making her a fresh dish.
Today, 2 of the three dishes came out severely behind the first dish. I was left eating basically alone while the other two people at the table waited patiently for their food.
When the second order did arrive, it was missing the fried egg on top so again my friend still couldn't start eating. Finally the egg and the final person at our table received her pad see ew. It looked very different from the other times she has ordered the dish. This time it came out with a pile of sugar on the side and the waitress couldn't really explain why the dish was so much different than the other times it had been ordered.
Bottom line, we've given this place many chances and they have yet to hit the mark. Save your money and frustrations and try...
Read moreTo be honest, this was a bit of a let down. We absolutely love Pomelo (her other restaurant) and were excited for this new venture. Whoever, the service was weird and awkward. When we came in at 6:30 (and we had a reservation), the place was pretty much empty (with only a few tables full) and we were seated at the worst table throughout the restaurant, next to the kitchen in very harsh lighting; the table that normally is filled last. After asking we moved to a different table. Then it took a while for drinks to come out and they were served one-by-one by the bartender herself, so she had to ask who had which drink. Getting our orders in took some time though. We ordered some appetizers for the table that came out rather quickly. However, we were only half done with them before the main course came out, which was pretty awkward. During the evening there seemed to be 4 or 5 people involved with our table, which caused quite some confusion. Eventually even the owner even came out to serve some drinks. The weird thing here was that my friend had ordered a Thai Old Fashioned earlier that comes with a cute display of infused smoke. The second time around the whole smoke display was skipped and we were served with a lot more plain drinks. Anyway, I'm not saying that the staff was rude, rather on the contrary; everyone was very friendly and tried their best, but it was all very chaotic and weird. The food was ok, but not spectacular, especially not having had Pomelo a...
Read moreAbsolutely the most HORRIFIC service we have ever had. We've lived in the quarter for almost 10 years and never managed to get here. Now, I will never go back. We got seated pretty quick, but then there was no server for almost 5 minutes. We ordered 2 thai tea, pad Thai, curry, soup and satay. Right off the bat, we never got our tea and were even charged for it. The satay came out and we discovered it was dark meat. I've never had a satay with dark meat so we sent it back. My husband's curry came out fairly quick and he said it tasted good. By the time my soup came out ( which was also dark meat ) he was basically done eating. When I asked to change the pad Thai to shrimp ( I figured the chicken was again going to be dark meat again), it took well over 20 minutes for me to get it.
The food was tasty, I really loved the soup (after taking out the nasty chicken)
But due to the lack of any service, we will...
