I was surprised to see so many positive reviews for this place after my experience. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend it. If you decide to go anyway, make sure to carefully check your bill before paying.
I ordered the kafta shish kabob plate, and for $22, I expected much better. The meat was cold and dry, which made it unappetizing. My companion had the chicken shawarma with fries, but the fries were so bad that we left them untouched. To top it off, we tried the baklava for dessert, but it was equally unsatisfactory. Overall, the food failed to meet even basic expectations.
When the check arrived, I noticed we had been charged for several extra items. Although the waiter corrected the bill and apologized, it left me questioning whether this was an honest mistake.
Another frustration was the lack of tap water. I ended up paying $5 for a small glass of sparkling water, which, ironically, was the only decent thing we had during our visit.
On the positive side, the restaurant’s ambiance is lovely, and the waiter was friendly. However, these factors don’t make up for the poor quality of the food and the questionable billing practices. I won’t...
Read moreThis was just awful. I ordered delivery, but you couldn’t pay me to eat at this place. First off, the food was bad. I got the gyro plate, nothing was seasoned, and the gyro was actually mushy. The vinaigrette on the salad had no flavor. Mainly what I’m upset about is the way that it was packed. The tzatziki was just plopped on top of the rice and euro, meaning half of it was mixed in with the rice and the other half was literally coating the strips of gyro. I wouldn’t have been able to reheat it because of that, and there’s enough food there to get 2 or 3 full meals out of ( which is fairly standard for a gyro plate.) So even if it would have been palatable enough to reheat, I wouldn’t have been able to. The salad was also everywhere in the takeout box, and so I had to spend about 5 minutes picking everything apart before I could even start eating. Yes, that was probably the drivers fault for not keeping it steady, but also what do you expect when you pack everything into one box with no barriers separating anything? Lebanon Grill clearly puts no thought into their food, flavors, or packaging. In a city with so many good food options, this is not...
Read moreI cannot recommend this place enough!! I stopped in for a casual lunch with my boyfriend and we were both wooed by the delicious food and calming atmosphere. It’s on a perfect little street in the French quarter, across from a cool bar and surrounded by other hip establishments. It has entrances on either side which makes the interior feel very light and airy. We had the hummus as any appetizer which was impeccable, served with yummy bread and the freshest olive oil I’ve had in a long time. We then shared the lamb kabob entree, served with saffron rice and a salad. The salad consisted of lettuce, tomato, red onion, and cucumber, and was dressed to perfection in a house made balsamic. The lamb was amazing, grilled and flavored just right with the unmistakable Lebanese taste! We stayed even after finishing, and decided to get an espresso as well. When I went in to buy the espresso the owner (?) said he want to offer me a crepe on the house! Sooo kind and the crepe was to die for! Banana, vanilla ice cream, Nutella... he treated us to the works 😋 thank you to this place for being a refreshing, welcoming, and delectable stop during our...
