We stopped in to have a drink while on vacation. After sitting and being ignored for a while, my wife finally had to ask if we could order a drink with a rather loud voice. She nodded her head without even looking at us. Slid our drinks at us without saying a word. It was very obvious that this lady is a very unhappy person and should definitely consider a different line of work. Especially during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. We came to have fun, too bad one bartender like this ruined our experience. We came to the same place the day before and the bartender, well he was great. Maybe he should have trained this one. I’m hoping this gets back to the owner because we own a bar In Illinois and we appreciate it when people give us creative criticism to help us improve our customers experience. Sure, it's on a small street, and mid block, but that means you will skip all the riff raff that make NOLA difficult.
This is your neighborhood bar where they will shout your name when you come back. The locals are friendly, the drinks are tasty, and the whole experience is everything NOLA is meant to be.
Please order the Sazerac, you will not be disappointed. And no matter the time of day, the bloody Mary is always delicious.
Special shout out to Courtney for helping out all the tourists...
