Iâm writing this review to address a troubling experience that occurred last night involving one of your bartenders, whom I believe is named Jason. This incident happened to my fiancĂ©, but I feel compelled to speak up as someone who frequents this bar regularly. I work nearby and often end my nights here, occasionally joined by my fiancĂ© who either walks me to my car or picks me up. We typically stop in for a drink to unwind before heading home. Grace usually takes care of us and has always been kind and welcoming, but unfortunately, she wasnât working last night.
When my fiancĂ© arrived, he let Jason know he needed to use the restroom before ordering. Upon returning to the bar, Jason abruptly and rudely asked, âWho are you?â My fiancĂ© responded with his name and explained that he was a customer. Jason replied, âYouâre not a customer. Get out.â Shocked and confused, my fiancĂ© left the bar and explained the situation to other friends standing outside. I arrived shortly after to find him upset and trying to make sense of what had just happened.
As a regular, Iâm extremely disappointed that my fiancĂ©âa Latino manâwas treated with such hostility and suspicion simply for using the restroom before placing an order. Even if we werenât regulars, no one deserves to be spoken to or dismissed that way. Itâs upsetting to see this kind of behavior in a place we once felt comfortable and welcomed. Given the current climate and ongoing conversations around inclusivity and respect, I sincerely hope this issue is taken seriously. Unfortunately, I will not...

Read moreI grew up visiting New Orleans annually staying at the Chateau Orleans right across the street. Last night with my first visit. Over the last 30 years this place has changed names, to my surprise it turned out to be quite a gem, tucked away just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street. Jay was bartending, he was phenomenal. He possesses The Best of Both Worlds. Easily, the locals favorite bartender with a blend of hospitality for those of us just visiting. The entire place was very clean, the other patrons were very inviting and friendly. There was a great assortment and variety of liquor and beer. As a bartender myself I truly appreciate acquaint local bar with a great atmosphere. My only complaint is that I wish I would have come sooner and stayed longer. Jay was a great change of pace from several other establishments closer to Bourbon Street with snotty bartenders....
