Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 10 am PDT Dear 99 Cent Delicious Pizza:
I was visiting & staying in Long Beach, Long Island, NY. I took the LIRR into Manhattan a couple of times. Your 99 Cent Delicious Pizza Place is incredibly close to Penn Station & Madison Square Garden.
Every time that I passed your place the LINE WAS 15/20 LONG! When I finally had a chance to eat TWO (2) SLICES of YOUR SCRUMPTIOUS PIZZA, I finally understood why there was always such long customer lines. GREAT FOR YOU - KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!
This "5 Star Service Experience" occurred on Monday Memorial 2024 Monday 06/27/2024 between 2:30 pm to 4 pm It was FLEET WEEK in NYC – 99 Cent Delicious Pizza Address: 460 7th Ave, NYC, NY 10001- on the corner of 35th & 7th Ave.
I was incredibly hunger when I entered This 99 Cents Delicious Pizza Shop. Manhattan in the early afternoon, there was a DELUGE & DOWNPOUR OF RAIN for close to (one) 1 hour. I lived in Honolulu, HI, & it reminded me of Pineapple Express or Atmospheric Rivers. Just a MASSIVE AMOUNT OF RAIN in a truly brief period.
Therefore, the result was that there was NO LINE FOR THE 99 CENTS DELICIOUS PIZZA PLACE. Lucky for me! The rain had subsided, so I took my two (2) slices outside to eat @ their STAND-UP EATING TABLES. I met a person from the neighborhood, he informed me with incredible enthusiasm, that the 99 Cent Delicious Pizza was the BEST PLACE TO BUY A MANHATTAN SLICE OF PIZZA IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. You are doing something GREAT to get such a SINCERE COMPLIMENT from MANHATTNITE - NY'ER.
I took a 2-week period to visit family & friends on Long Island. I live in Northern California. I took the LIRR into Manhattan; I was raised in Flushing, Queens, NY 11570.
I am so glad that I just randomly found & picked this 99 Cent Delicious Pizza Shop - between 34th & 35th streets - remarkably close to Penn Station.
I appreciate you taking the time to read...
Read moreThis place is a hit or a miss. I stop by here after my workout. It's become a routine. Work, gym, pizza, Penn. In this order.
It's a slice shop. Good pizza, good price. It's like every other slice shop. There is always a line and there is a always a homeless person waiting for the next slice.
My only thing is everytime I go there, the price changes. It's a $1 one day, then it's a $1.50 another day.
I bought 2 slices one night - $2.
I bought 3 slices another night. Wanted to give a slice to a homeless guy. Gave the cashier $5. He gave me back 50©.
C'Mon .... It's happened many times. I guess they have a quota they have to meet.
Another time, these attractive girls were in front of me. Definitely tourists. $1 each...
I ordered 2 slices. $3... C'mon....
Thinking of reporting this establishment to the NYC Attorney General or at least to find out where to file for deceptive advertising. If the storefront says 99©, it should be that. If it's $1.50, it should be that. If it's just the employee making up the price as he fits because I know it's the same guy that's at the front, then it's a different lawsuit.
It's not much, but follow the rules. Don't have a rogue cashier make up whatever he wants to charge based on the way someone looks. I know this happens a lot and I'm sure New Yorkers know...
Read moreWho even knew 99 cent pizza was still a thing? The pizza is GREAT for a dollar. (Yes unfortunately it is $1 now, not .$0.99.) New York Style. Now the .99 cent cheese slices is NOT the best the store has. Think of this as a sampler dish. Their more expensive slices have more sauce and cheese on them. The $0.99 cent slice is basically the draw. Please come check this amazing pizza place out. They have more than one location! Also includes crushed red pepper, garlic, oregano, and hot sauce! Plus two cheese slices and a canned drink, OR a bottle of water for only $3!!!!! You CAN NOT BEAT THIS DEAL ANYWHERE in Manhattan! Second closest is 2 Bros Pizza at $4 for the exact same deal. My hats off to you, $1 Pizza Guys! Every Large Coty in The...
