I just might have to finally move from NYC if Bonsignour is ever no longer in NYC and without a special, cute, tiny, quiet, and charming location. I have been going to Bonsignour for about as long as I have been a New Yorker. Shortly after moving to the city I was lucky enough to have had the chance to briefly stay at a friends penthouse apartment in the West Village and that’s when and how I discovered it. Besides going here for coffee (normally by myself so that I can have some peaceful alone time), this place is also fabulous and great for yummy lunch options like their avocado salad. Prices for the food can of course be a bit m pricey for those of us without trust funds or elitist jobs, but not really so if you judge it by it’s quality and compared to everything else, including Whole Foods food. It’s at least a great little spot for an old school New York like moment (before all the stupid jumbo high rises started going up) and a treat for your taste buds and tummy. Regarding the standard coffee, I am a coffee and cream gal who is extremely picky about expensive coffee and I have always loved my coffee here. By comparison, La Colombe and 787 Coffee are pretty much the only other places I go to for standard brewed coffee in Manhattan if I really want to treat myself to luxury instead of my go to deli & favorite coffee cart spots near USQ which are simply closer to me than Bonsignour. (On occasion I’ll also go to Devoción on 20th street or Grumpy’s in the LES). Hope you all enjoy! @ CocaColaMia 🪺

Ordered from here via a delivery app and they couldn’t have been more kind and accommodating. Tried the chicken fingers (with their signature dipping sauce), cubano sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, beet salad, and lemonade. Due to a delivery app mishap, the restaurant coordinated with me to ensure my order could get picked up from another courier from another app. They ended up remaking the cubano sandwich because they wanted it to be warm for us on arrival. Our order ended up arriving in perfect condition and they even threw in free cookies and rugelach - both of which jumped very quickly to my top desserts here in the city. Highly recommend the chicken fingers and sandwiches. I will absolutely be back.

I pass by the door everyday, yesterday decided to stop for a quick lunch to try something new, the counter was attentive but since I was looking at the list of food offered she looked upset cause I didn’t know right away what I wanted. Instead of asking or recommending she said you are not ready? Ok, and went to do something else, after, I was waiting for her to be ready to come back. My meatloaf and Swiss hardly had any cheese.

The service here is unethical, they probably mess with your food if they don’t like you. I never leave bad reviews you’ll see this is the only bad review I have on my entire Google accounts. The service here is ridiculous. They helped five people ahead of me and when I said something, they said they would preferred it if I don’t ever come back I will never go here again. It is not worth how long it takes and they have no respect for the line. Expect to wait 1/2 hour for a sandwich and they treat some customers quicker than others...
