I discovered this place a week ago while I was stuck in the traffic on Court street. I happened to look around and noticed an Italian bistro from Marche, which is a region of Italy where they have the best stuffed olives so I made a note to come back and try it.
I went there two nights ago for dinner with my husband and I absolute loved everything about this place. First of all, the cheerful welcome from owners Elena and Riccardo made me feel I was in Italy, they were super friendly and polite when they introduced themselves. Itās very rare to find a place in New York where people are genuinely nice. Then the atmosphere was just perfect, the place is brand new, beautifully designed and well curated in all their details: from the design of the menu to the take out boxes.
The menù is based on typical food from Marche which includes olives, cheese and charcuterie. Everything is homemade and you can taste it, very delicate but at the same time delicious. We had the Crescia with mortadella and stracchino, a mix of fried olives stuffed with truffles, gorgonzola, fish and veggies, hand cut fries and bombe with homemade cream/custard. It was all super yummy! We really loved this place and we will definitely come back!
Bravissimi Elena...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn absolute delight. Dining at Creminiās is like hanging out at the home of your hip friends from Italy. Rooted in the tradition of Le Marche, the menu bears classic and familiar Italian flavors and innovations as well. For drinks, a selection of classic and signature cocktails, wines, and beer pair with the mention items perfectly. The super sbagliato was refreshing, bittersweet, and a little smoky-perfect. The Ascolana olives are a must, with beetroot pesto for a twist. Zucchini strips tempura were crisp and fried to perfection. Iād heard about their mortadella sandwich-like a northern Italian version of a pita wrap with mortadella and Gorgonzolaāthe sour tan of the cheese and the sweet, salty, umami flavor of the mortadella on the impossibly soft, warm flatbread was heavenly. As for the tiramisù, all you need is to look at the photo. Lovely, special, casual atmosphere with artistic and vintage touches, friendly, cheerful owners who are really paying attention to detail to extend hospitality and delicious Italian fare. Bravo! Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, I have never been to Le Marche, but luckily, I was able to enjoy some delicious and traditional food made by a lovely couple from the region! The Ascolana olives are a must-have. They are lightly breaded with some fillings, minced meat, cod fish and some other options. I can imagine how much efforts are required to make these cuties! The highlight of the jumbo wings is definitely the mariana sauce, which made the wings much more juicer. And of course the famous Elena Burger, do I need to say more?!
The couple also made all the efforts to adapt the current situation. Their newly opened lovely backyard spoke of everything, very artistic. We literally enjoyed the entire backyard ourselves. Like my friend said, feel like we were having a brunch and immersing ourselves in the art installations in the Whitney Museum, and we are the only ones...
