Came here with a friend and shared the large beef platter… probably could have done with the regular beef platter instead of the large because it was so much meat to finish! We definitely overestimated ourselves haha
Upon entering with reservations, we were brought to our table (booth style seating). The interior is much larger than you would think from only looking at it from outside!
The staff were quick and efficient as they brought us drinks and helped to answer our questions about items on the menu. After ordering, they quickly brought out the bbq additions and side dishes. While everything was quick, at no point did we ever feel rushed. Service was absolutely on point!
Their steamed egg comes to your table and they cook it at your table instead of bringing it to you already cooked, like they do in other Korean restaurants. That itself was pretty cool and a welcomed different experience. It tasted sweet, nice and hot, and fluffy!
The bbq itself was excellent. They came back in time intervals to cook the meat for you, in batches, and never once over or undercooked. Never dry and had a good bite to it. They also explained the cuts of meat they were cooking so you knew which parts you were eating- very informative! The quality of the meat was definitely noticeably higher than the cuts you’d see at say, an AYCE bbq restaurant. The dipping sauces that came with the meat paired wonderfully. You might already know but wrap the meat with lettuce wrap and top it with the side dishes to really elevate each bite! I was a fan of all their side dishes, especially the pickled jalapeño, onions and sliced scallions. Their kimchi was okay.
Needless to say, I’ll definitely come back here! It was a great experience and a perfect place to go to after a hard day of work. Give this place a go!!! Slightly more expensive but...

I’ve tried quite a few korean bbqs in Manhattan and this is the one I will always come back to. Not only is the location really pretty and very typical - you almost feel like being on the second floor of a korean market, where they cook what you bought - but the food is simply AMAZING.
You can choose among many options, different beef or pork combos are a great option if you’re in a group, or you can just pick your favorite cuts. They also have a few options if you want something other than bbq: Japchae, bibimbap, tteokbokki, pajeon, mul naengmyeon, just to name a few.
What i can tell you is none of these dishes will ever disappoint. What I recommend you guys to try for sure is the pork belly (samgyeopsal), perfectly layered and absolutely delicious with just a tad of salt or doenjang and made into a wrap with lettuce and kimchi (and raw garlic if you like it).
Other dishes I’d recommend are the marinated galbi, the bulgogi, and the ribeye. As far as other dishes I’m a huge fan of their Japchae, their tteokbokki, and the cold green tea noodles. If you want something small(er) as an appetizer try the kimchi jeon, or the pajeon, they’re pretty good and always made fresh.
If you order one of their set combo meals, you’ll also get a soup of your choice.
The banchan dishes are delicious, always order raw garlic on the side if you want the authentic experience, and the pickle onion they bring is to die for. Their kimchi is also very good, and so are the sauces they give you for the meats - The teriyaki sauce with bean flour is sweet and sticky, while the doenjang is nice and salty.
If anything I wish they also had the option to get more vegetables sides and finish your meal with boekumbap - but hey maybe you can and I’ve just never asked! Guess I’ll have to go...
Read moreCame with a party of 5 for a friend’s birthday lunch. The place is located on the second floor and the entrance can be a bit difficult to spot. However, once you take the elevator up, you’ll see a huge space for the restaurant, which was much bigger than I expected. We went at around 2pm and were told that no reservations would be needed at this time.
We ordered the Beef Platter, Pork Belly, Lychee Soju Cocktail and Green Grape Fruity Soju to share. The meat portions were definitely less than it seemed in the photos and for the price, but was nonetheless good. The meat isn’t as marinated as typical barbecue places so it’s more natural tasting and less heavy. Def recommend getting the Pork Belly on the side as it was really good as well. We also liked the Lychee Soju Cocktail since it mainly just tasted like lychee so for those who don’t like the taste of alcohol as much, that’s a good go-to. Our waiter made all the meat for us and was attentive to any refills we needed especially for the kimchi, which my friend loved having with the meat.
Only thing I was a little disappointed in was how quickly it felt like they were trying to turn tables over and get us out. Our waiter was quick and efficient in getting our orders and grilling the meat, which was fine. However, before we even finished our last piece of meat on the grill, a busboy came over and asked if he could clean our table up and take everything already. We were there for exactly 1 hour only and it felt like we were being rushed out, which proved to be true when they said they had a reservation after. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy your food with friends, I don’t recommend coming here at least during busy hours. However, if you’re just looking for a place to fill yourself with some good meat, then this...
