Outside of the tacos, this place is terrible. I feel like I remember it used to be good but those days are long gone. The service was horrible, the place was filthy and the prices are astronomical. They are charging $15 for 2 (yes, that’s a 2) tiny tacos. It is so obnoxious. Also, the table was disgusting - my silverware was stuck to it and not because of some thin patina of schmutz. Whatever was on that table needs to be burned off. The service was bad. The guy was completely inattentive and messed up the order- I had to ask him for everything (to order, for napkins, for water, to clear the table). Lastly, the food: generally not good (again, except for the ridiculously overpriced tacos). The guacamole and chips - chips were from a bag, guacamole was okay but also tiny and approaching $15. The chicken torta ($19) was mostly bread and very dry, the breaded chicken was over cooked and no amount of toasting could hide the fact that the bread was stale. The side of rice beans was okay. In total, 2 orders of tacos (4 individual tacos), 1 chicken torta, 1 cauliflower quesadilla, 1 guacamole/chips, 1 side of rice and beans and 1 can of rose: over $130 with tax and tip. The price is absurd, especially when you consider the service and the state of...

I can't believe most of these comments because... Idk but the food was disgusting. I went to the upper east side location. I looked at the menu on line before going and was excited about their options. Upon seating I was given this dirty looking minimalist menu, nothing like on line. I asked the waitress was there another menu based on what I saw on line. She said the menu on line was based on other locations on the upper east side.. WHAT??? Im sure she was thrown off by me asking something she obviously had no clue about... Speaks volumes about management. I ordered guacamole n chips and the guac tasted like the avocado was on its last leg, on the sweeter side, strange texture, over ripe, ready for the garbage and they mashed it anyway... Not the typical taste. It was more like something out of a bag... I ordered steak tacos.. I was almost turned off by the bland anemic look of this meat in my tacos.. Really weird. The Margarita, spicy lucy, not the flavor like you would expect, and it was 14$! It was spicy but that was it. Disappointed.. The manager kept coming by and asking if everything was ok.. No it wasn't but im sure my comments would have fell on deaf ears so I didn't even bother. What a...

While trying to get home and starving, near the 72nd St. stop of Q train is this spot. Walking in looks clean, nice, decorative. I see kitchen all the way in back. Midway is cashier and above are 2 simple signs with retro lettering from the 80s. I ask the girl in spanish how big were tacos, she said they were small, i should order 3 or 4. Quesadilla was small and cut up into pieces. I order 1 shrimp and 1 fish taco, my son (age 22) orders the vegetarian quesadilla. plus 2 Jarritos (mexican soda) a whopping $26. We didn't wait long. Guy from kitchen brings us our food. I was hungry and mad at the same time. Both tacos were not even warm. There is 1 tiny tortilla per taco. The carnitas tasted good, comes with onions, cilantro and green spicy sauce. The shrimp taco had 2 fried shrimp, chipotle mayo sauce, red onion. The shrimps were tasty, but these were appetizers. My sons quesadilla was tasty but was the size of a regular taco. Not a place I would go to again. Too expensive for such little food. I guess they're trying to milk ppl...

This place always is a great stop! I love how much outdoor seating they have, especially on a nice summer day it's wonderful to sit outside and sip margaritas with some guac! I recommend the spicy jalapeño margarita for drinks, it does have a nice kick! Go with a pitcher if there are 4 of you or more, def worth it. I love their queso flameado, top it with mushrooms and it's a great combo - almost feels like you're eating a quesadilla :) Overall: Good guac, great steak and shrimp tacos, love the mushroom add on option to anything! Wish they had a better wait system, on busy nights it would be nice to leave my phone numbers / have an app to let us know when our table is ready. Right now it's all done via a list so you have to stand and wait.
