Los Tacos Hermanos — Restaurant in New York

Was in town as a tag-along wife. I read the reviews and there was one that said they were from California and picky about their Mexican, I've lived in California and Arizona for the last 11.5 years, so thought I'd give it a try. In one word - 'meh The location was terrific for me. It's clean, casual, and some indoor seating. There's a small staff but they are VERY well organized and work well together behind that counter. I went during lunch time and the reviewers are right, they are busy but they've got it under control for sure. I ordered the Carne Asada Bowl without onions. Either she missed me saying that or the folks in the back missed it when prepping the order, because there were a few HUGE pieces of onion. Fortunately they were huge pieces and I could pull them out, but sometimes you just can't tell the difference between an onion and a piece of lettuce. It's not an allergy, it just gives me the worst breath and makes my tummy uncomfortable. I'll live, just needed to brush my teeth a couple of times to get the taste out. The Los Tacos Hermanos on Canal is such a great place to pop in for some quick, delicious Mexican food.I’ve had a few things from their menu over time, and everything has always been good. Their menu is expansive, as most Mexican places are, and you’ll have no problem finding things you like. The biggest challenge is deciding what to order. This time around it was a simple snack; a chicken and a steak tacos. Both were great. I can’t even say which one was better because they both had their own distinct flavors and textures. I could have easily eaten a few more with no problem. They have a few tables inside and outside, so it’s easy to just relax and enjoy your food. I really like this place. The staff in the establishment were extremely rude. I had not finished stepping in when they turned me down immediately. It was barely one minute past 3AM and they had already 5 people who were being served and I was just one more person. They do want to work not keep their business to be profitable, when someone else comes if they already are serving others . Such establishments should not operate if they turn out customers by such limited guidelines, when they are clearly serving other customers already.

I do not recommend this establishment they are unfriendly, mean and lazy. Stay away from this...
