Moritz Fries Bar — Restaurant in New York

Walked 🚶🏿‍♀️pass this spot so many times. Today was the day I gave it a shot. No regrets!!!! While indulging in Truffled Fries 🍟 someone walked up and asked “Can I ask you a question”my reply was “NO” while chewing the Truffle Fries and enjoying them. (Joking with the NO) The question was how are the fries or what made you come here?? My response was I come here, meaning the mall so many times and I have never tried this spot. This is German 🇩🇪 quality fries, freshly cut potatoes 🥔, cut daily and crafted with a variety of sauces. I was enjoying them and this was the owner. He spoke for moment offering the history and recommendations, listening to the facts of this business. The fries were really good. I will be returning and will be trying everything on the menu. Because I hadnt known that they offer adult beverages the owner provided a courtesy taste or ROSE. So please note they have food and beverages. Customer Service is GREAT. Food GREAT. Location GREAT. Would give it a zero if I could. Didn't even get to eat the food. Sat there in front of the gentleman who was fixing two of the computer screens mounted said he would be with me in a minute, then walked away to I guess where the register was to take someone's order who I just walked up. I waited for my turn and then I asked him if I could get truffle fries and then add a schnitzel. He told me there was no. I said well I can I get the regular fries with the schnitzel and be up charged for the truffle and he said no you cannot do that. I asked him can he do an open food for it or whatever the amount was, and the answer was no. (Which is ridiculous because you have all of those things so you just basically lost the sale.) I recommend to the owner to make it an option so it reflects in your inventory if that's the issue. I don't want to just eat truffle fries and I'm not gonna order another order of fries and chicken just to have truffle fries. It's just...

Food was less than average, not bad, not amazing. Service terrible. Woman at the register more concerned with cashing out and leaving, didn’t even say anything to me as I waited patiently for her to finish. Gentleman who took my order did not want to be there. Didn’t hear anything I said. I ordered small truffle fries with a side of the German sausage, he tried to ring me up for the loaded sausage fries. I almost left with out my sauce. The menu reads remoulade, curry ketchup AND whatever the last sauce was. Went back for my sauce and when I mentioned the menu says it comes with all three sauces the same guy said “it don’t say all three sauces” and handed me two, whatever. If it only comes with one sauce it should say “or” not “and.”

I should have just went to Wendy’s and paid 1/4 the amount I did for better service and the same...
