This is a restaurant that I won't visit again. We went there for the pan-fried pork buns since we missed the ones in Taiwan so much. The actual buns turned out to be disappointing. They were small. The filling was little and the the buns were 2 sided fried which is not quite right. We also ordered the sushi rolls. The rice is dehydrated and hard. The uni is not fresh and watery. The deluxe box of the 9 items is also not worth it. There's one item with 2 slices of cold, deep-fried salmon. You can image how the cold fried chicken tastes like. There's also one item which is only rice... The 4 slots of sashimi are the only ok items. Lastly, we ordered beef sukiyaki udon and the restaurant served nabeyaki instead. We found it out since it was chicken in the hotpot. We told the staff and the staff said she was sure that we ordered nabeyaki, seemingly blaming it was our fault. After communication, the staff agreed to change it to the beef sukiyaki udon. And I am so sure it's not beef sukiyaki. It's just dashi soup udon with beef. We also spotted the staff sprayed the detergent on the table with the clean plates. You should do that on an empty table and put plates on it after wiping the table. I normally don't write bad things about a restaurant but this restaurant really...

Norikoh is a beautiful restaurant with great ambience. Which means nothing if the food isn’t up to par. It’s mediocre at its best. The staff is incompetent and this is me putting it nicely. My brother and I went to Norikoh yesterday afternoon. We specified to the waitress my brother needed accommodations due to a seafood allergy. Of course this was disregarded and he was brought everything he cannot eat. I spoke with the manger and he did rectify the issue at hand. But, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. A severe allergy reaction can lead to anaphylactic shock, which in most cases the EMT’s/Paramedics would not make it on time. The restaurant had 3 other customers it was a slow afternoon. Can you imagine on a packed day? How many special requests or accommodations go ignored. If you want to live and not die by eating out, I recommend going elsewhere. They did apologize but I don’t feel an apology is sufficient for almost...

Had a miserable experience here. Went for my birthday. Dropped a couple hundred dollars with two of my friends. Food was fine, there signature roll does not work at all, flavor profile is super odd. Service was great and the server actually bought me a slice of cake which I thought was comped. The manager proceeded to come up to me and inform me that the cake wasn’t comped and that the server paid out of pocket to which I replied ā€œwell why don’t you comp it?ā€ She basically came up to make me feel bad for him buying me the cake. I paid for the cake myself because the server did such an amazing job and was so sweet. The manager did nothing but ruin what would have been a fine night out. Will never go here again and I recommend you spend your money at an establishment where the management doesn’t go out of their way to make you...

A top-tier Japanese restaurant that keeps me coming back again. The restaurant is astonishing with mesmerizing decor and wonderful service. The drinks are out of this world—flavorful and expertly served. I’ve never tried anything this flavorful. I was really pleased when I drank it. I couldn’t help myself but to keep on drinking it. The food is just like the authentic Japanese food. I heard that one of the chefs is from Japan which means that it’s the real deal. I’ve tried many Japanese restaurants before, but none compare to the deliciousness here. The food here is truly delightful and makes me only want to eat here. Not to mention, the food is also visually appealing. 5/5 star restaurant, wish it could be more stars. This is outshines than those Michelin restaurants out there.

Recently came to try the famous bento box for brunch. The place had a nice upscale casual vibe, but it was fairly empty during the peak hours. Norikoh deluxe box was as good as I expected. Each item was crafted to perfection, and the quality of the sushi was certainly top notch for the price. Some items like the raw shrimp and squid were unique, and I liked that they were tailored to resemble dishes in an omakase. On the other hand, the brunch special kani salad sandwich was bland and mediocre. I liked that they used a thin toast to highlight the textures of the seafood, but overall, it was unremarkable. Nevertheless, the bento box was worth a try, and I would definitely go back to try more whenever I’m in midtown.
