We get delivery from here weekly. For years now. No kidding. Best Mexican food in Brooklyn and I grew up in California so I know what I’m talking about. Authentic, delicious, fresh, fast, and spicy. We love the enchiladas and nachos. Tacos are great. Salsa is superb. Hubby loves the burritos. I love the breakfast dishes as well, like the chilaquiles. Also great entrees, I’m partial to the chiles relleños. When we’re sick, we order the pozole chicken soup. So healing and delicious and the tostadas that come on the side are perfection! Great arroz y frijoles. Most rice and beans in this side of Brooklyn are disappointing, but this place does them right. Always a telling sign that the place is legit if they get that right! They can even accommodate gluten free and vegan diets, which is hard in this area, especially if you’re entertaining. They even have a gluten free quesadilla made with a homemade corn tortilla and it is so good!! And they also offer catering! We love their flan and rice pudding too. Don’t sleep on this spot. The aguas frescas hit the spot...

I have been ordering from this restaurant through Grubhub since May of this year(2020). I was exited when I saw that they had a vegan menu. Things started to go sour when I started noticing real meat in my empanadas and burrito as well using actual meat as a substitute for their vegan meat. Today was the last straw for me. I ordered a burrito which was practically cold. I also ordered Pico de Gallo empanadas and instead received empanadas with meat. I am completely done ordering from this place. I threw away my entire food. And this wasn’t the first time I had to do that. I’m not one of those annoying customers that will call up and demand to have my order replaced, instead I just take the L and move but I’m tired of this.
tl;dr if you’re vegan, don’t order their vegan options because you’ll find actual meat...
Read moreI went to a pop up at Navy Yard and decided to give this place a try. Usually, when I am in the area, I try to get my fill of Mexican food. This place was the first to disappoint. First of all, it took a while for my food to arrive. I ordered a queso fundido con rajas (melted cheese with peppers), a dish that doesn't take long to make. The cheese got hard quickly and that's a big no-no. I can't say if the fault is in the cheese quality or the preparation. Could be both. To make matters worse, the restaurant charged me $2 after I asked for more tortillas. The tortillas are not homemade; you can buy a whole bag of the same bland corn tortillas for a $1 at the store. In spite of all this, I give them 3 stars instead of two because the people working there are nice and made the experience somewhat enjoyable. Still, I don't think...
