My expectations were very high for this place but ... Today Tuesday 16 at 9:50 pm I bought a pizza called "Famous Original" ($ 20) plus pepperoni as a topic ($ 5), the place is comfortable and quiet even the people They look friendly however the taste of the pizza was unpleasant and disappointing, for this small size of pizza it cost me "27 $" (tax included), they only included 10 pieces of pepperoni and it cost me 5 $! Amazing! They should add more pepperoni and improve their ingredients since the cheese, the sauce and the dough is not good (I heard that the ingredients are imported from Italy but .. I doubt that it is from there) trust me I tried many pizzas from different places of manhattan and queens and also I have tried many times the 1$ pizzas of manhattan and I can say that those $ 1 pizzas are better, they have a good flavor, the dough, the cheese, the sauce, but this place "Roberta" ... disappoints me. I hope it is the last time I buy here in this place, it is not pleasant to spend 27 dollars for this poor quality of pizza, I hope they can improve. The pizza box does not have any logo, it is very basic. This is my opinion and I just want to let you all know what a customer thinks about this pizza since I understand that other people may say that it is the best pizza, but you have to be realistic with the quality and cost of pizza. (They only assept cards, not...
Read moreDined at this location 3x is the past few months. I’m a returning customer for the food (only). The pizza and other food items on the menu are delicious, but the service is subpar. Upon arrival we were welcomed and seated immediately. We placed our order for simple drinks (water, beer and ginger ale) and food during the initial interaction with the wait staff. It took about 15 minutes for our simple drinks to arrive. The restaurant did not appear very busy. The food arrived sporadically. We ordered two veggies and two pizzas. Only one pizza was served. We figured the pizza would arrive a little later. The server did not check on our table until it appeared we were “finished” eating approx 30 minutes later. When I asked about the other pizza, It was apparent that it was not put in. We waited for it to be made and took it to go. Skipped dessert after waiting so long. The manager was kind enough to not charge us for the pizza, but it’s such a disservice to customers who want a nice dining experience. We travel well over an hour to make it to Robertas. Unfortunately, due to the poor service on more than one occasion with the same server we’ll be trying a different location moving forward. The ice cream shop next door to Robertas is quite tasty and...
Read moreRoberta’s Pizza sits comfortably in that rare intersection of genuinely great food and an effortlessly cool location—exactly the kind of place where you’d expect high-quality pizza made by people who know their craft. And, boy, do they nail the pizza. It’s the kind of pizza you’d think of while your significant other is telling you about their day, the kind where the dough’s a little charred, the toppings are perfect, and every bite feels vaguely like a spiritual experience. You’re halfway through your third slice, losing yourself in the rich blend of cheeses and tangy sauce, thinking, This place gets it.
And then comes the moment when you lean back, looking for that post-pizza espresso to round off your meal, only to find yourself abandoned, uncaffeinated, and mildly betrayed. Imagine my surprise when the Italian pizza haven doesn’t offer espresso. Not even a humble black tea. It’s like they got the masterpiece canvas but decided the final brushstrokes weren’t worth the effort. A bit of a weak showing, really. Roberta’s nails the broad strokes—they get you hooked, sauced, and blissfully carb-loaded—but somehow leaves you uncaffeinated in the end, like watching an indie film that just ends...
