I have had nothing but praise for this establishment. I work in a hospital and wanted breakfast 1 morning after our cafeteria closed. My co-worker orders from Roosevelt Gourmet Deli frequently and gave me the number and told me what she orders. I ordered the same sandwich as her and have been ordering it for 2 months with no issues, and always tip the delivery driver generously. Today, a gentlemen told me that there's a deliver minimum of $6 and that they couldn't deliver to me. He then placed a woman by the name of Lisa on the phone. She wouldn't let me speak, spoke over me and told me the delivery minimum is $10. I informed her that I've never been told there was a delivery minimum over the last 2 months that I've been ordering and how is it $10 now after I was just told moments before that it's $6. When I asked for a supervisor, she said no one was there and hung-up on me. I checked the website on-line through seamless and it says delivery "no-minimum". I took a screenshot and uploaded it for everyone to see. I called the store back to express my confusion 1)no-minimum delivery fee online and my order has been under $5 for the last 2 months, delivered with no issues, 2) me being told by him that its a $6 minimum deliver and 3) Lisa telling me its a $10 minimum. The gentlemen was even rude and said "I don't know what to tell you". You know that feeling when you are exhausted and you plan in your mind, ahead of time, on what you are going to eat for breakfast only to be treated unkindly? That is how I feel :-(. I will never order from this establishment again, I will let my co-workers know, and I will follow-up...
Read moreThis place is average at best. 3 stars is being kind. Certain items here (like the paninis) are just awful. Other stuff isn't bad.
The prices change every time I go in there. The people behind the counter are not consistent at all with what they charge. I order the same stuff all the time and always find myself paying a different price.
The only reason I am a repeat customer is because I work all different hours and this place is open 24/7 and right next to where I work.
But otherwise, I would not bother coming back. There is another 24 hour deli down the street at 55th and 10th called United We Stand Deli... That place is 16 BILLION times better than here. It's worth walking the two...
Read moreI was in this area for a week. Ate at a few places around the area and was disappointed. Found this place and actually spent the last 3 days eating every meal here exclusively. Really generous portions and a very fair price overall. I was able to get filled up quite well and enjoyed everything I got, regardless the time or variation (omelets, chicken parm sandwich, croissant breakfast sandwich, salad topped with grilled chicken [which was by far my favorite], and so on). Good, hot coffee, friendly staff. Absolutely no complaints about this place and it was never crowded. Good little place. Those crying about the price must have just left an island or something. Also, the lady is Korean and...
